What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
KQOTD - It's a tough call. I think you're right that the wet is not that far removed from hash. However, the dry may satisfy my need to crunch and I can spread it out over the day . . . but 3 cups is a LOT of crunch. . . . hmmmm. . . I'm gonna go with the 3 cups of dry, but I reserve the right to change my mind.
I'm having an incredibly hungry week and I don't know why . . . Wi**** would go away, though. I usually can kick my hunger to the curb by drinking, but not this week. I had over 120oz of fluid yesterday and nothing. Oh, well, i'll try and power through
Here's the plan:
B: 2 eggs, 1oz cheese, 1 slice cantaloupe
L: Left over new york strip steak, snap peas
D: Pork chop, pear and Gorgonzola salad
S: light and fit (I forgot the turkey and provolone roll up I was going to have so I'll apparently be even hungrier)
Totals: Cal: 924;Protein: 94g; Fat: 38g; carbs 41g

Hey Stacy, I have super hungry days and then super not hungry days, its so weird and a total mystery to me as to why. For me I think it all depends on how busy I am at work, when I am slammed at work it will be noon or 1pm and I will realize I have not eaten breakfast yet, or if I am working out hard and if I run at lunch and do the gym or go for a run when I get home I am HUNGRY. So I totally get you, its very up and down.
I LOVE cantaloupe I love it too much, Like I will plow through one of those suckers in no time, its a total slider food for me and I feel ill after so I can't have it in the house plus food that I really love it's a slippery slope for me, 1 cup turns to 2 cups to 3 cups and then I am ill.
And your pear and Gorgonzola salad sounds, divine, I love that combo together!

There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to my hungry periods. Right now, I'm busy at work, but the hunger is getting to me. I usually have WLS friendly snacks in my drawer (like moon cheese) but right now I have nothing. I'm fighting the urge to walk across the street to starbucks and get a coffee.
I love all melon, but since surgery have actually been able to keep it in check. It's one of the better fruits for me since I don't tend to over do it. This cantaloupe was disappointing, not very flavorful or juicy, but it's very early in the season. I think that's adding to my overall state of hunger. . . nothing I had today has been very satisfying! I have high hopes for the pear and gorgonzola salad. I don't eat very much of it at all, but it's usually very satisfying. I like the sweet from the pear and the sharp/salty flavor from the gorgonzola together.
Here's hoping dinner is satisfying and solves the problem!
Good afternoon!
QOTD: Ew, ew, ew, I cannot think of eating dog food, I'm pretty much grossed out by this question.
Had my tooth pulled this morning, so I just had my first meal of the day, cottage cheese since I'm on soft foods for a couple of days. This should help kickstart the weight loss again (hopefully)!
MelissaSue I made your mexican casserole last night, with one change, I added ground turkey. The family loved it as much as I did. Will try the spaghetti squash lasagne next time.
Time since surgery 10+ months
B: Didn't happen
L: 4 oz cottage cheese
S: Muscle Milk 100
D: 2 egg, 1 slice provolone omelette
S: Possibly sugar free jello or yasso bar
I change the recipes all the time
WARNING: The lasagna stuffed spaghetti squash is really really yummy, BUT the recipe doesn't have you precook the squash at all, and it is NOT done in the time it says it should be. Next time I will put the squash in the microwave for a good bit BEFORE stuffing and baking

Good Morning! I have yet ANOTHER department meeting in like 15 minutes, so I gotta make it short. I'll make today's topic one that my son asked me last night. He is totally into playing "would you rather" and he comes up with some funny ****
QOTD! Would you rather eat 1 cup of wet (canned) dog food or 3 cups of dry? LMAO I said wet, because how far removed is canned dog food really from say, corned beef hash? Discuss.
Time since surgery: 19 1/2 months
B: coffee, mini wonton quiche and a string cheese
S: Power Crunch Crisp chocolate brownie wonder bar
L: Buffalo chicken salad on 34 Degree rosemary crackers and another string cheese
D: leftover venison steak Diane and sautéed cabbage
TOTALS: Cals: 854 Protein: 90 Carbs: 45 Fat: 37

Do love Power Crunch. Not over the moon about the new Salted caramel... the new mint chocolate I liked though, reminded me of thin mints. I don't know if I ever had Chocolate brownie.... My favorite is the Chocolate PB but it is hard to find...
