What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Recipe? I take a piece of meat and cook it. When I'm lazy, deli meat is already cooked. If you want variety, try cheese or nuts for snacks. But be careful, the calories on those add up fast.
Seriously, if you want to detox from carbs, be a carnivore for a week. I defy anyone to eat only meat and not lose weight. You just can't eat enough.
Not too long ago, I ate nothing but ham for 9 days. Last fall, I ate nothing but bacon and one ribeye for 5 days. In my defense, that was my brother's doing. He kept cooking it, and I kept eating it.
If you are looking for recipes, don't look at me. I'm a very simple man.

We need an "all meat all week" challenge, where participants have to pick a meat of their choice but eat it for all meals and snacks, no deviations, but you don't get to participate Grim cuz you will win hands down! LOL
I love this idea! Propose it to Kristen tomorrow! I can be the judge.

HI Kathy,
Good luck on the low carb/no carb! Its hard but it can be done. And 15.8 carbs for the day is awesome, your menu looks great for today, you got this no problem!
Hope you will keep posting on the menu thread, would love to have you stick around!

Good morning! QOTD: dry for sure - I'd pretend it's a crunchy snack. I'm sure I've eaten worse. :)
Food after lunch is up in the air, as I'm driving to a meeting more than 3 hours away, so six plus hours in the car in rainy windy weather. I will pack fruit and a protein bar, and will probably stop at McDonalds for a double burger for dinner (no bun unless I'm really hungry) since it is only 300 calories even with the bun (but no cheese.)
I started the day with faux pancakes - two eggs and a mashed ripe banana with a pinch of cinnamon cooked in a nonstick pan. It is more like a pancake than an omelette, and I put a little sugar-free jam on it for extra sweetness. Delicious and satisfying. Lunch will be pork tenderloin. The rest of the day is ??? but will definitely include lots of coffee to keep me alert for the drive.

Hi Mirrors,
Your faux pancakes are interesting... I would never think to put eggs & mashed banana together, unless it was to make a banana bread! HA HA Goo luck on the six hours in the car, you are in the GTA right? Our traffic is a nightmare on a sunny day so good luck with the crap windy rainy weather, safe driving!
Love me some coffee, especially coffee while driving, not sure why but I love having a cup of coffee in the car!

Thanks for the good wishes - it was an 'interesting' trip. I live in a small town closer to London than to Toronto, and my meeting was in Innisfil. I had to pull off the road in Stratford to wait out a hailstorm, and on the way home (9:30 pm) got caught in a near-torrential downpour with heavy fog going south on the 400. Yikes! Glad to be home, and that I survived!
My sister gave me the faux pancake recipe because she knows I'm avoiding bread (I also prefer recipes with 4 or less ingredients.) If the banana is large and over-ripe, the result is more pancakey. If the banana is small and not-so-ripe, the result is more like a banana crepe. Either way it's tasty and filling and a pleasant change from plain eggs. And it's much better than dry dogfood! :)
Kudos to you for your thoughtful posts today. It's like the quote one poster (I think ****ro Girl?) has on her messages - something along the lines of 'you won't drown if you fall in the water, but you will if you stay there.' (apologies for errors and possible mis-attribution.)
BTW, my dogs must never see what your dogs eat. It would give them unrealistic expectations!
