About smoking. I quit a million times. The last time was 9/7/99. What helped me the most is deep breathing. When we smoke we take in deep breaths. That in itself is a soothing thing. So when I wanted a cigarette I did deep breathing. Its also why hypnosis works well with cessation because it too is about breath.
Breathe from your belly and try to make it as slow and full as you can. I did this yesterday when they were sticking lidocaine around my new leg wound they were stitching up. Good luck.
