Pain for weeks after surgery..

Hi all.  I had my surgery four weeks ago today, and the only place I have pain is on my left side.  From what I have been told by my surgeon, that is where the stapler went in.  Just wondering if any of you out there had similar issues.  Other than that incision site, I can't even tell I had surgery.  I walk four miles a day, and feel fantastic.  I am just worried when I go back to work on the 29th, that it may interfere with my job.  I am a mail carrier and do lots of walking and lifting.  Any input?

Have you called your surgeon's office and asked for their input?

Just heard back from the surgeon's office and found out it is completely normal. It's where the muscles are healing, and very typical for people with the roux-en-y.  

I'm the same! Only 16 days from surgery but the only pain I have is in the lower left side of my belly. Can't wear real pants yet. Diving with maxi skirts for work still. Lifting is painful but otherwise everything else is good!

I am 3 weeks post op and also have pain on my left side. 1 mth check up next week. I'm not worried, I know they did ALOT of messing around in there and it was a major surgery, pain is to be expected a month later.
