All done!!

Had my bupass about 12 hours ago. So far so good. Op took two hours longer than planned due to lots of scar tissue from my friend the band. But other than that it was straightforward. Luckily other than a very sore throat i have no pain at all. Looking forward to going home and getting on with my new life.
That's great!

No!!!! I have a sore throat but other than that not a single twinge, not even low level aches. Am so grateful to be so lucky. All the very best to you, hope all goes well and we hear from you soon.

Good going! Remember that no pain does not mean your recovery will be any shorter. By that I mean, It is still pretty torn up inside of you. It will take twice as long for your inside, as it will for the outside. Take it slow. Progress through the initial stages slowly and build momentum with walking and so on.
Find vets here that have maintained their weight loss for some time and ask questions. If someone tells you something like "put protein powder in pancake mix to trick your body into accepting it" DO NOT LISTEN!!! I've seen that here.
Good luck. Enjoy your honeymoon. It's been fun for me, but I am working really hard at it also.

Good advice thank you. I am all about listening to those with more experience. I have had a lapband but I think his will be quite different. Great support from Dr's office, saw the nutritionalit's today, didn't have that with the band. Am feeling really positive and determined to get to that end goal and stay there.
