Complications after surgery
Hello All,
I had a very complicated RYN on Wednesday, but am now back home out of the hospital. Is there a spot in the forums to discuss? I don't want to discourage anyone from getting surgery as I was in the 1%, but I could use some support and encouragement.
Thanks all. This site has been an incredible source of information and support.

There is, but it gets very little traffic.
Feel free to post here. Honestly sharing your experience, good or bad, is encouraged.

I had a very normal surgery with a very serious complication. It happens, information.. Good or bad... Is awesome for people researching.
Yes, it's under See More and titled Weight Loss Surgery Complications. I posted there in September, 2015 and there's been only one more since then. Please cross-post detailed information; complications need to discussed more so decisions are made with eyes wide open. I just wish you and I didn't get picked to represent that small percentage.
My RnY went somewhat sideways because my body started forming scar tissue so fast, my intestine twisted and closed three times. Finally some new material was used to coat my guts and keep things from being sticky...so four surgeries and a 24 day hospital stay....but I would not pass up this opportunity to regain my health even if I knew in advance how challenging things were going to be. I did end up with a long open incision in the end but the first three attempts were laparoscopy using the same holes several times.
