What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Sugar alcohols are a different thing, and affect pretty much everyone. They are guaranteed to go right through me, causing a lot of pain and anguish on the way.
Do some reading on reactive hypoglycemia. Everything you describe is right on the nose. It is NOT treated the same as regular hypoglycemia. And it hits RNYers at about where you are post surgery.
You are exactly right in that you can't eat just simple carbs without getting your symptoms. It needs to be a mix of protein, fats, and carbs.

So daylight savings time typically works in our favor because we have a "wake up at an ungodly early riser" child. I should clarify that the Spring works in our favor. In the fall he's back to extra early. So where he was waking at 6am last week, we're closer to 7 am this week.
PIZZA: I want all of it. The more cheese and veggies the better (don't like pepperoni, sausage, hamburger). Love it with white sauce, Canadian bacon, or chicken.

Pizza is all yummy but my favorite is Casey's here in town has a delicious Flatbread pizza. Favorite toppings are sausage, mushrooms and peppers with extra cheese. The Flatbread is nice and thin and I can usually eat only one piece. Don't have it often but do love it! Daylight savings time is fine by me because it gives me more evening time to do yard work. Post op 42.5 months and weight at 122.4 today. Exercise will be 3.2 miles at the park with Lily and 30 minutes on the bike. We will probably do another mile before bed too! Food today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli chicken and cheese with1/2 c roasted veggies D 31/2 oz meatballs with spaghetti sauce and 1/2 c roasted veggies S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some great choices!
Daylight savings makes me sleepy for about a week. Funny how I turn into a bigger cranky monster when this happens. I'm just focusing on sleeping as much as possible.
Pizza- all the dairy made me sick for a period of time when I was younger so during middle/high school I didn't eat it as much. I like spinach/artichoke/chicken/ham/bacon. I like Mellow mushroom, I don't like dominos, papa johns, little Caesar, and all those chains.
not much else is going on- I need to finish the taxes and I'm behind. Apparently the price at H&R block is going up after the 18th so i better hurry the heck up.
support group was last night and I took all the isopures and premier protein strawberry shakes I was not going to drink to give away. seems my weight is up more when I drink shakes. not sure whether there is a correlation but I'm going to stick to real food - lol
we are going on vacation the first week of April so I've been arranging a dog sitter, activities, etc for being gone.
B: 1/3 premier protein chocolate, decaf

To think about what a BAD DAY was before surgery, and what a BAD DAY is now after surgery...its kind of humorous! Yet still, a bad day is still a BAD DAY!
Good for you for putting it out there!
