Nervous about last NUT visit

I'm finally getting very close to surgery.  My last (6 mo.) NUT visit is next week.  My insurance doesn't require a specific amount of weight loss during the 6 mo. pre-op, but they do want to see some loss and no gain, not even 1/2 lb. from one visit to the next.  I've done really well between all the other visits and have lost 35 lbs. so far pre-op, but for some reason this final month has been extremely difficult.  No changes in diet and I am still tracking everything.  Even so, I seem to go up and down.  As of this morning I was the exact same weight that I was the day of my last visit.  I'm so afraid my weight will be up just enough at the last visit that it will give my insurance company a reason to deny.  I've been exercising a little more so maybe some of it is water????  Guess I'm just looking for encouragement.  I'll do my best during the next week and hope for the best.  Maybe I'll pull out a light-weight Spring outfit for the final weigh-in and ask if I can take off my shoes just in case.   Any other suggestions for a quick 1 lb. loss?

Stay on track - I needed to sign a statement that I had tried to lose weight.  Follow Grim's advice, wear the least amount of clothes and strip down to your undies if you need to.

Good luck!

Thanks, but don't know about stripping down.  We have group classes .

wear something light like leggings or thin pants and a light shirt.  If you need something more wear a sweater you can take off to weigh.  You don't have to get nekkid, just dress so you can peel those layers off.

Really - if it meant the difference between having surgery and not?    Maybe you could wear a skimpy bathing suit for the weigh in.  You've come too far and done much hard work to be undone by the scale's variability.  I hope your weight loss is way over goal, even wearing boots and a heavy coat.

To lose weight you sometimes need to eat less and exercise less.  The opposite of what we all think.
