What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYer?
Good morning! This was a super busy weekend. Friday night I baked 10 dozen chocolat chip cookies for my daughter's science fair project. She explored what happens when you double or half flour in baked goods and why it happens. Of course she had to hand out good cookies. Saturday morning I taught swimming lessons, science fair Saturday afternoon, packet pickup for 10K Saturday late day. Saturday night was family movie night. Sunday I ran my 10k in the AM (whoo hoo, ran the whole thing despite 2 massive hills and my time was good). Sunday afternoon taught more swim lessons and baked pies for pi day when I got home until 10pm last night. UGH! Ate like crap on Saturday but rocked it yesterday :)

Well? You're just going to tease us with the experiment, and not tell us the result? That's just mean.
Ask her to see what happens when you leave eggs out of chocolate chip cookies. I've been meaning to try it for a vegan friend.

Fascinating. Thanks.
I make a chocolate cake that has a really, really thin batter. It has a cup of coffee, a cup of buttermilk, and a half cup of vegetable oil in it. I must have made it 100 times. Once, I was on autopilot and didn't add ANY flour. It is normally so thin, I didn't notice. It turned out . . . interesting.

Congrats on the 10k! Our time was decent given the WHOLE THING was a hill. Even the parking lot at Dodger Stadium (where the run started) is hilly. My sister in law, who is a breast cancer survivor, came in first out of all the survivors running (there were at least 21 because her bib number was 21). Super proud of her!
My weekend went pretty well. My daughter rocked her gymnastics meet and we got some quiet relaxing time in, well as much as you can with a 2 and a 7 year old running amuck in the house. Scale dropped a good bit last week and has bounced up a smidge this morning so I assume I'm in for a week of body re-balancing. I have just accepted my stair stepping as a part of my new life, but damn it can get you down for a bit and make you have a good mental discussion with yourself. I got my first set of labs bad at the end of last week for my three month apt this week and everything looks great. We will see what the doc says on Wednesday and see what he says about taking my Gall Bladder out. I don't have any symptoms but he said I had seven stones prior to surgery and it was gonna come out about 4 months Post-op.
I don't really collect anything anymore. Don't really have the time and husband is anti-clutter so it would probably just start a war.

Good Morning! Weekend was pretty low-key, nothing too exciting. My daughter spent a large portion of her weekend fine tuning an essay that she had to write as part of an application process to join a laptop program for middle school. I am proud of her for completing the application on her own without me having to push her to do it (especially on a weekend!). She can't even submit the application until her 3rd quarter grades finalize this week but other than that that she is ready to go.
QOTD: I love beagles and collect pretty much anything with them on it :)

Have a great one!
I collect things with boxer dogs on them. Hubby has gotten me tons of shirts. I have a gray hoodie from Legacy Boxer Rescue that says until there are none, rescue one. I also have a purple Hoodia that says never underestimate the power of a woman with a boxer dog. Quite fitting I think! Also a pink T that says I will follow you everywhere, bathroom included and has a picture of a boxer. That one is true also! Also my favorite sweatshirt says Be the person your dog thinks you are. I don't know wheye hubby finds them all but I love them!
Our high school mascot is a boxer. They sell all kinds of crap with pictures of boxers on it.
