What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYer?
I was behind home plate, but up a level. They've done a nice job keeping the stadium going.

Books are an obsession of mine as well. I have 3 full bookcases, books here and there around the house in neat stacks, but boxes and boxes of books and a list a mile long of books I still want to read. I now do some of my reading on my tablet, but I will always prefer a book.
We moved four years ago I donated hundreds of books at the time since I knew I did not have the storage space, but I still kept many boxes of books and have since added to the collection
Well, you weren't the only one to fall victim to a cookie pushing ***** this weekend. Screw you, Mrs. Fields, screw you and the horse you rode in on. I was good yesterday, I had a nice plan, I ate out at Applebee's and stayed on plan. I got home from Painting with a twist and found a Mrs. Fields cookie sitting in a bag on my counter. WTF?!?! My husband had taken the kids to the mall and it was buy 3 cookies get one free, and my oldest son was supposed to hide the extra cookie for his evening snack. Let's just say punishment for his lapse in judgement was that HE didn't eat the cookie, momma got that cookie. I logged it, but I'm super mad because that was the first real "treat" I've had in over a month. I've had little tastes, or a bit of this or that, but I haven't indulged in something like that since mid-January. I can't blame anyone but myself, of course.
So I'm back on track today and feeling pretty fierce because I squeezed my ass into a size 9/10 pants this morning. They are pretty snug, but they are made from a stretchy material and fit comfortably. I still am a size 12, but I'll take the boost by wearing these teeny tiny pants to work. My scale hasn't moved down in a while, but honestly I can feel the difference and know that I've had some weight shifting around on my body.
Also, I tried the Quest Pasta yesterday. I had a very light dinner, because after i took my first bite I lost all appetite. That stuff is very, very gross. It doesn't taste bad at all, it doesn't taste like anything. But it has a texture that reminded me of chewing on rubbery worms. Seriously made me gag and spit the stuff out. No one in my house liked it, so that will be a no-no for us going forward.
Here is my plan for the day:
7+ months since surgery
B: 1 egg, 1 slice of bacon, 1/2 oz cheese on 1/2 a low carb tortilla
L: 2oz of rare roast beef deli meat, cheese and mustard on 1/2 a low carb tortilla and a pickle
D: chicken breast and some sort of veggie, probably cauliflower.
S: Kroger Carbmaster cinnamon bun yogurt, quest protein shake made with unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
totals:
calories 727 protein 92 carbs 30 fat 30
I picked up a few of the Carb Master yogurts on Saturday, and I love them. I am finding that I like the more simple flavors. So far I had cherry (delicious), blueberry muffin (just okay) and black forest cake (just okay). Today I'm having the cinnamon roll flavor. I don't usually shop at Kroger, but I think I may make a special trip each week to pick some up. The stats are pretty great and for more volume, very low calorie compared to Light and Fit. The protein ratio is the same. 6 ounces compared to 5.3 for light and fit. 60 calories, 9g protein and 3g sugar.
Good Morning!
I feel like I haven't posted/read in forever! Work had me incredibly busy and working off site, and then we went off the grid for vacation - 2 days in Florida and 7 wonderful days on a cruise. 9 days away with 2 young kids was a lot, we averaged 18,000+ steps a day, so there wasn't much lounging around :) I did alright food wise, a few cheats here and there, nothing awful though. I'm ready to get back to the routine of things.
I used to collect key chains until I went to collage, still have them somewhere at my parents house. My son actually started his key chain collection on this vacation. I think we are both pretty excited about it!
Time since surgery: 1 year
B: Monster Muscle
S1: Cheese Stick
L: Tuna and LC Swiss wedge
S2: Quest Bar
D: Turkey/zoodles spaghetti, cottage cheese
S3: Hard boiled egg
Cal: 912 Fat: 32 Protein: 90 Carb: 71
Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm worth it!
Oh, that reminds me! I also collect magnets from each little trip we take. We don't go anywhere that often, but I have a nice little collection on the fridge. We're going to DC at the end of the month on a little mini-break, so I'll be sure to pick up a few there.
