What's on your Saturday menu, RNYers?

Hello all! I'm on vacation in the Smokey Mountains and haven't posted much this week. Wifi is kind of spotty (definitely won't let me upload pics, yet)!
My family of 30 rented a lodge mansion and we stocked the giant refrigerator with $700 worth of groceries from Costso. As you can imagine there are millions of bags of chips, hundreds of freshly baked cookies and more alcohol that you can imagine (we're in moonshine country, after all). I've stayed clear of that stuff (not even a sip of booze!) but even our "good" meals are not great. I scraped the toppings off of two peices of pizza last night, but then felt ill from the fatty greasy meal. It's really hard to stay on plan here when I never know exactly what the plan is! I'm learning to give up some control and just make better choices on the fly. I brought lots of high protein snacks with me, including a canister of Fit Frappe Espresso, so I think I'm staying on track pretty well, but only the scale will tell when I get home.
The trip is pretty active, too. I am heading out in a hike today in the Smokey Mountain State Park, and hope to take a run through the neighborhood, later too.
Have you traveled on vacation post-RNY? What are your tips for staying in track?
B: Fit Frappe Espresso
S: Chobani yogurt
L: ?
S: almonds
D: The most epic bbq you have ever seen! We have more meat than you can imagine and rented a smoker that looks like a locomotive train engine... I can't wait to show pics! Yay for meat :)

I was worried too when I traveled with hubby and the dog in December but did just fine. We ate out every meal but I just chose basic meats and veggies and tried to be as active with the dog as I could. My weight stayed the same. Getting ready to head out to a cowboy shoot 11/2 hours away today with hubby. Cars loaded up and food and drinks are ready to go. Post op 42.5 months and weight at 121.6 today. Exercise will be whatever I can get in this evening when we get home. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added(1/2 c after cooking)L packet of ranch flavored tuna 1/2 c green beans D 1/2 c ground turkey with marinara sauce and 1/2 c green beans S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
Are you and your husband shooting at these events, or watching?

good morning Juniper, my faithful weekend menu poster. I hope you have a great time! I'm jealous, I feel like I'm suffocating sometimes here and a vacation would really help me feel better. I have no vacationed yet, I have a vacation planned for July, so I'll be watching all of the responses and gathering those tips for staying on track.
I have a busy weekend. Today I have my brother and his family coming to my house for dinner. He turned 44 last week and I want to celebrate with him. I'm making corned beef and cabbage as well as carrots and potatoes. We're also going to have some shrimp ****tail and veggies and dip. My sister in law is bringing cake and ice cream. That'll be no problem to stay away from. I'm finding my issues definitely aren't with sweets, but with over eating savory carbs like crackers and snacks.
I do have a plan for the day
B: last of the breakfast quiche I made last week
L: Shrimp and ****tail sauce while setting up for dinner
D: corned beef and a small amount of cabbage and carrots
S: Light and fit greek yogurt, a quest protein shake when everyone else is having cake and ice cream.
Totals:
calories 870 protein 109 carbs 50 fat 39
Enjoy your day and thanks for taking the time out to post the thread!

Morning JB! I was pleasantly surprised to see your post today. I'm glad you were able. Have you met Dolly? I suppose a picture of you with a giant smoker is a good runner up, but still.
It sounds like you've been making good food choices. Traveling is easier when you're maintaining, as opposed to when you are trying to lose a lot. But the key for me has always been just staying away from crappy carbs like chips and sweets. If you're focusing on protein, you can't go wrong.
Have a great time, and have a safe trip.

The amount of Dolly stuff around here is phenomenal. I think I'm going to buy a blonde wig. This trip is transforming me.

Hmmm. I'm not seeing you as a blonde. But I'd love to see it anyway!
