OMG I love this! Love how you are in a sleeveless short dress adn the backdrop is a snowy scene with the "snow" on the ground. AWESOME!!! Yup the chocker makes it totally. And can I say I totally see you daughter in this pic! God you are pretty!!!!
First the QOTD: It has been a lot of years since my prom...ahem - 50. ouch. I did go my class was 1500+ kids. Nowadays I hear "The prom"
Even though this was Pre-WLS..I love this pic. It was a special day to see my son marry one of the most lovely young women I know. Since I only have one son God knew I needed a gem of a DIL to balance things out. Sons don't get heir Moms sometimes and I know sometimes after he and I have a conversation and hang up she says "Why are you giving your mom a hard time?" He will call back the next day and apologize or somehow extend an olive branch. This is also Wisconsin in July and it was like 95 degrees with an outdoor ceremony.
BTW - I ordered the dress directly from China, it was a knock off of an Academy award or Emmy dress. Hahaha. It was made so beautifully, cost me $120 with shipping and then with alterations at home about $180 total. My friends thought I was crazy. Lightinthebox.com
This is what I figured- I couldn't try on any dresses at a regular bridal shop anyway (i tried), extra$ for height, extra$ for size extra$ for rush order..it would have cost me $750 before alterations. I was like NO. I am not the bride.... Anyway dress was amazing. Also had my hair done in some Laverne and Shirley type hair salon by lady in a house coat and no hair herself...but 100 bobby pins later I was good. Considering my hair was short she worked miracles.
I wasn't here yesterday because I was too busy having a meltdown. Sometimes that is needed. My friend had left and showering, put on dressings, the medieval compression garment...2 drains still hanging...just sent me over the edge. Day ended much better, visit from friend who brought food. (Yay!), Dr. changed med from Valium to a muscle relaxer so I don't feel so loopy in my head, and the best part finally got to get rid of one drain by FaceTiming with the doc and removing it myself. I guess somewhere I am a science geek...I found that so exciting. "I did it myself!" Maybe a video on 2nd drain for Grim....LOL
Food: I am supposed to be doing high protein 100g+ for a month after surgery...and since I am not totally up to cooking etc
2-3 premier protein
greek yogurt
grilled chicken and spinach dish my friend left
salad?

What a happy family. Think about how many more years you've given yourself with your grandkids.
For the record, I have never ordered a gown from China.
