What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning and welcome to Photo Friday; the Special Formal Edition. LOL Post 'em if ya got 'em! It doesn't have to be a fancy get-up pic; but I will award bonus points if it is. HA! As I mentioned before, I did not attend my prom, but I did attend the Marine Corps Birthday Ball back in 2004, which is essentially the prom for Marines. I do have a small photo, but I totally spaced last night in the wake of the science fair and didn't scan it. I shall do so this weekend and save it for next week's photo Friday. Huzzah!
What I do have is a picture (taken on my flip phone for awesome clarity. Not.) of my handsome boy in front of his board last night. Love that kid. 
OK, so the QOTD! Do you say "Prom" or "the Prom"? I always heard "I'm going to the Prom" until like 5 years ago when all of sudden (it seemed) people were saying "I'm going to Prom". Without the article. This confuses me greatly and I need to take a poll. LOL

B: coffee and a Lean Cuisine turkey sausage breakfast scramble. Yes, it's Friday and yes, I'm Catholic, but I don't have anything else handy so I'm going for the venial with my brekkie. Plus it looks yummy. LOL
S: nada; I think the scramble will hold me 'til lunch.
L: shrimp ****tail and 34 Degree rosemary crackers with Laughing Cow
D: baked flounder with a piccata sauce and sautéed spinach. My husband and son are going camping so I'm getting all fancy for my solo dinner. I may even break out the candles for a little ambiance. LMAO

Prom, or The Prom? I lack the vocabulary to adequately describe how much I do not care.
My best friend's daughter is getting married this fall. What a **** show. Conspicuous consumption to a degree that would make Thorstein Veblen blush. I can't imagine what (the) prom, weddings, etc are like for young people these days. They are just bombarded with so much crap about what the "experience" is supposed to be like.
You asked for it. This is me at my prom. I do not like to talk about it.
But this is my very favorite "formal" photo, and, I think, the only photo I have ever framed. It's me and my daughter at a father-daughter dance. You can tell from the mustache that it was back when I was still making porn.

I had to orchestrate a prom-posal for my brother. He wanted to have a pizza delivered to his desired date with prom? spelled out in pepperoni (he's grown in the romance department since then). none of the local pizza places would take the time to spell with pepperoni for him, so I got the call. I got to go pick up a plan cheese pizza and then use my considerable food styling skills to spell out the question. You'll be happy to know it worked and his date said yes!
