Good morning, I am currently reading Stars of Fortune by Nora Roberts.  I travel for a living so I usually just buy whatever books are currently being sold in the airports.  Not sure why, but aside from Nicholas Sparks, I never read any books by male authors

Good morning:

A beautiful Sunny day here, can't wait to go outside for a walk at lunchtime.

QOTD:    My last 3 reads, "RosemaryThe Hidden Kennedy" Kate Clifford Larsen and "Chance Harbor" by Holly Robinson, and "Inside the O'Brien's" by Lisa Genova.   I pretty much don't have just one genre that i favor and I make myself read one non-fiction book for every 5 novels; usually a biography.

Time since surgery: 10+ months

B:    2 Eggs, decaf coffee w/ creamer

L:  Leftover chicken stir fry

D: Steak w?

S:  Babybel & Mary's gone crackers

I really need to try some new recipes, running out of ideas and sick of the same old things.

Good Morning.

So, I don't read for pleasure very often.  It's always been a weird issue for me because people seem to expect me to be really into books, but it's just never appealed to me.  The last book I read was The Help.  I also enjoyed some chick-lit 2-piece series -- I think one was called Something Borrowed and the other was Something Blue.  I liked how they told the same story from two different vantage points.  When I read, it's almost always when I'm on vacation.   But otherwise, when I have downtime, reading isn't what comes to me as something to do.  I'd rather watch something interesting on television, read articles on the internet, or do something to plan or organize some aspect of my life (I really enjoy making plans and spreadsheets -- I know, it's nuts).

I read "fluff" all the time along with books on history.  Nothing wrong with fluff.  One of my favorites is Janet Evanovich I know I know everyone talks about how they are all the same book over and over but I just love Stephanie Plum.  I ready every book as soon as they come out.  I also love Joanne Fluke Hannah Swenson series.  Shes another one I buy as  soon as they are released.  2 other favorites are Kate Morton and Susanne Kearsley.  I have been to 2 book signings by Suanne Kearsley and actually won a Kobo that she gave away at the last event she held here is Houston.  It came with a cover that she had taken all around with her and got a bunch of authors to sign.  It was so cool.  Of course I am loyal to my amazon kindle but I loved that I actually won something!
