Ya! A book question - makes my librarian heart happy!
So I'll admit up front that I almost exclusively read young adult, rarely venturing into the adult world - though I sometimes LISTEN to grown up books. Right now I'm reading Fever 1793 for my book club (all grown women, reading YA) and listening to two books (which is crazy but one's on my phone and I listen to it around the house and the other is on CD and I listen in the car - usually I just have one going on my phone, but this particular title isn't downloadable - argh) - Lair of Dreams and What Alice Forgot (an adult book!).
Another evening meeting day, so I'm going into work late and my plans aren't great..here's what I got though.
B: coffee, omelet
S: L&F Greek Mouse (haven't tried these yet...I'm a glutton for new yogurt products)
L: chicken curry and sweetened ricotta
S: turkey sausage bites and string cheese
D: Quest bar at meeting
S: popcorn and froyo bar
TOTALS: Calories 952, Protein 90, Carbs 83, Fat 40
V/W: started
E: rest day

A) don't be embarrassed to ask your librarian about YA stuff - there are SOOOOOOO many adults *****ad YA.
B) what kind of stuff to do you like? Like genre-wise?
I'm currently on a Libba Bray kick - she writes fantasy-ish, often with an historical bend, loved everything I've read of her. The Anna and the French Kiss series is a recent favorite fluffy series. Just read Simon vs. the **** Sapien Agenda and LOVED it, super quick read.
Have you heard of the website Forever Young Adult? Check it out - I've really enjoyed all their recommended books.

Oh, then definitely try Libba Bray. Beauty Queens is ridiculous and amazing - here's the description:
From bestselling, Printz Award-winning author Libba Bray, a desert island classic.
Survival. Of the fittest.
The fifty contestants in the Miss Teen Dream Pageant thought this was going to be a fun trip to the beach, where they could parade in their state-appropriate costumes and compete in front of the cameras. But sadly, their airplane had another idea, crashing on a desert island and leaving the survivors stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eyeliner.
What's a beauty queen to do? Continue to practice for the talent portion of the program - or wrestle snakes to the ground? Get a perfect tan - or learn to run wild? And what should happen when the sexy pirates show up?
Welcome to the heart of non-exfoliated darkness.
Also random thoughts: Scorpio Races, the Cinder series (can't believe I forgot this one), Matched series, The Selection series, Daughter of Smoke and Bone series (another one I can't believe I didn't mention the first time around).
Etiquette & Espionage is another fun one I've been listening to lately.

Well hello my fearless friend!! . I am an avid reader and look forward to the day I can do that again. I thought when kids got older they needed you less... False!
When we went to Atlanta I read a finance book by Dave Ramsey, it was good. I have Ken Folletts Pillar of Salt sitting on the bookshelf mocking me.
I started training for a 5k yesterday. I can't run, but I found a walking plan. I don't think it will be an issue since I have been doing 10k steps a day but I want to be as quick as possible. I will start the couch to 5k once I csn run so I can jolk the race at least. My 14 year old and I are training together.
