Throw them out!

I read mostly Epic Fantasy, which most people would consider fluff.

Morning AV, glad you're back to 85%. I am going to say this and I know I'm going to regret it, but I haven't been sick at all this season. I've had the sniffles, but I haven't gotten really sick at all. Everyone around me has had the flu, colds, booger noses and here I sit healthy as a horse, or should I say a pony? Hehe.

QOTD - I have kinda switched to audiobooks in the last few years because I can't seem to find the time to read. Someone always needs something, and lord help me if I try to read in the evening when my hubby is home. He always tries to talk to me and gets pissed if I don't respond. Then I get pissed if he interrupts me when I'm reading a good book. so I listen to audiobooks on my commute. I am currently listening to The Gunslinger by Stephen King. I picked it up because of the news that Idris Elba is going to be playing Roland in a movie and TV series. I saw that there should be something out as soon as January 2017. I'm super excited and want to go back and revisit all of them. I just got to the part where he meets Jake for the first time. It's been so long since I read this book it's almost like reading for the first time. Plus, with audiobooks, you get the extra benefit of the narrator bringing the book to life.

I rocked my menu yesterday! I did have a little snack in the evening, but it was a protein drink with water and an ounce of fresh raspberries. It helped to satisfy my urge to snack. I went to a birthday party, brought my own food, skipped the Coldstone Creamery Oreo Ice Cream cake, and got so many compliments. I think I am now smaller than ALL of my sisters in law, and every single one of them have run a marathon. They were ooohing and aaahing. Made me feel great.

So here's my plan for the day:

7 months since surgery

B: bacon, spinach and cheese egg cup, coffee with cream and splenda

L: turkey taco meat with 1/2 oz mozzarella cheese, 2oz plain greek yogurt and 2oz of salsa

D: Baked cod, steamed cauliflower with parmesean cheese

S: Light and Fit Greek strawberry cheesecake yogurt, BiPro protein shake with fresh strawberries this evening, I got a sample of this from the company while doing Bariatric Foodies challenge recently, and the french vanilla was pretty tasty. I think my aversion to the flavor of the whey protein is gone now.

Totals:

Calories 859 Protein 101 (booyah!) Carbs 36 (hellz ya) Fat 39

Have a great day everyone! Oh, and if you didn't hear it in the news, Michigan is feeling the Bern...

Glad you are feeling better AV! Currently I am reading Devil Colony by James Rollins but must admit I sometimes read romance novels too! Post op 42 months and weight at 122 today. Beautiful temps in Illinois today so I'm not even wearing a sweater! Have my size 00 Silver jeans and a bright turquoise western style top on and boots of course! Going to hate it when I put the boots away for summer. I love them so much because when I was heavy I couldn't find them to fit around my leg. And now they're loose! Exercise 3.2 miles at the park with Lily in a few minutes before we get rain and another 30 minutes on the bike at some point. Here's the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz hamburger patty with sweet potato fries D 31/2 oz sausage link with 1/2 c green beans S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some good choices!

I've been loving using greek yogurt with a ranch packet as a dip for veggies.  The powder doesn't add a terrible amount of calories, and as long as I don't eat a whole tub of it, it's actually very protein forward.  Celery sticks are awesome for filling me up.  I saw this on facebook the other day and saved it for an appropriate time to post it, I think I just found it:
