Gallbladder?

I had RNY back in 2007.  Recently, I have been having a dull burning ache under my lower rib-cage on my left-hand side.  It doesn't seem to be related to anything I eat/don't eat or do/don't do.  The only other time I've had anything similar is if I have been on super strong antibiotics for more than 10 days.  I've started taking pepcid and it seems to help.

Anyone else had a similar experience?  I haven't been to see my RNY doctor in over 8 years because of insurance changes.  Could this be a gallbladder issue?

It's great you are looking to solve your problem sooner than later.  My gallbladder attacks involved periodic episodes of intense vomiting and ache in my lower right-hand side. I used to ignore medical things far too long out of obesity-shame, medical costs, putting myself last, and thinking "IT" would go away.  I try harder now.  In fact, yesterday I had my billionith surgery.  What was suppose to be a routine fix for leg vein issues took three hours in the operating room hearing the same 'ol things afterward like "yours was more difficult than most." Let me be the example for sage advice: "the longer you wait, the more difficult issues can get."

An endovenous ablation procedure with vein stripping and repair of previous vein surgery.  A Mayo-trained specialist was flown in to fix my messy leg. All is good.

I had the endo venous laser ablation therapy done on both legs about a year and a half ago. Both calves were a mess. They did the greater saphenous in one, and lesser saphenous in the other. They later did sclerotherapy to get rid of some lesser  areas.

Did they use the vein hook? That was the worst part. Torture.

Gallbladder usually is on the right side.  Left may be an ulcer? Especially since pepcid seems to help it.  I'd call my doc if I were you.

I have an ulcer and that's how it feels.  I'm on carafate now and doing much better.  Definitely get it checked out!
