I did week1 Day1 of couch to 5k this morning on the DREADmill, Elliot only tried to climb on and kill himself about 20 times....but I got it done. So I guess I will call that a success! lol
Ya! When I switched from a shake to real food in the morning my life got so much better! I know some people's pouches aren't happy in the morning, but mine sure it.

Well, at first I did the shakes because I just could NOT eat enough to get a good protein number in, then I continued because when running around getting the boys and myself ready, I would eat way too fast and get sick. I had a little extra time this morning, so I tried it.
I guess I can't swear off shakes all together, since most mornings are pretty crazy at my house. So we'll see
I don't actually eat breakfast until I get to work. I like to wait to get my eating for the day started a little later. If I ate at home it would be like 7am, but this way it's more like 8:30-9am - which then means I can do 11am snack, 1:30ish lunch, 4:30 snack, 7ish dinner, 9ish snack - this seems to keep me most satisfied.

Yes! As you know, I'm partial to overnight oats - so there's nothing to do in the morning, except remember to actually bring them with you! I heat them up for a minute in the microwave.
I also have a box of Special K breakfast sammies in the work freezer. I find them very satisfying in the morning - the protein/carb/fat combo is a winner for me - keeps me fullest for the longest. The egg/bacon/cheese sammie is 200 calories, 12 grams protein, 20 carbs.

I haven't tried oatmeal yet, every time I see the carb count I freak out and don't do it. I have put steel cut oats in my shopping cart like every week for months now, then end up putting them back!
I pack my lunch and snacks anyway, so adding something for breakfast wouldn't be a problem.
Here's what I had this morning:
1/3 cup oats
1/3 cup L&F vanilla greek yogurt
1/4 cup almond milk
1 scoop unflavored Nectar protein powder
Calories 191, Protein 20, Carbs 23, Fat 2
It's basically one of the only times I don't feel bad when the carbs are higher than the protein - for me, carbs and protein in the morning are the best.
