Being able to eat more!?!

I'm with you on the freaking out phase.  I have been stuck at 199 (from 315.4 - which is amazing in itself) for a little while now.  I noticed all of the sudden at month 11, I can eat more...and sometimes I do.  I still want to lose 25 more pounds, so I'm trying to walk more, eat less and do as the pros say...more protein, less carbs.  The mental battle continues, but I knew that would never go away and this would never be easy.  So hang in there, like I am and stay on OH.  I sign on to OH every day to read the new and old, posts.  Even though some are repetitive, it's a great reminder of where we started, where we are, and where we are going.  Good luck!

what I find weird is that I'm hit or miss with my food.  I do weigh all of my food, and sometimes I can eat a lot and sometimes I can only eat like half.  I measured out 4oz of ground turkey taco meat today and I know I've eaten that much before, but I could only eat about half of what I measured.  I had it with 1/2 oz of melted cheese and 1/2 a low carb tortilla. (the half is 40 calories, 5.5 grams of carbs and weighs about an ounce) and plain yogurt and salsa.

I can go to a Applebee's and eat their kids sized 4oz sirloin.  Maybe it's that the 4oz at Applebees is precooked weight, where my food I'm weighing at home is after cooking?

The weights at restaurants are off. Most steaks I see are about half of the weight on the menu.

I realized I could eat more at the 9-10 months mark.  My Nut wants me to eat 1200-1500 calories daily; however, those calories put me into maintenance.

My one year surgiversary will be March 30 and I have 4 pounds to my 160 goal.  I dropped my daily caloric intake to 900-1000.  I tried going back to 800-900 calories but I just became mean & nasty!

So far, two pounds gone in 2 weeks--thanks White Dove for continuing to post the 500 calorie reduction!  ;-)

I am still not "hungry" and have reminders to eat.

I must be the only long term vet that still doesn't experience hunger ??? Since day one if I felt 'hunger ' I td myself I need water . I have days I can eat only two bites and days I can eat more. I do NOT eat after 7 pm as I know I could eat more than I should. I could not possibly ever eat two eggs or two chicken legs. I never ever looked for that , full feeling!i don't count calories but I doubt I ever eat over 1000 a day. I started at day one telling my brain that I am eating to stay alive. I wish I never had to eat to be honest. Perhaps my best suggestion is to tell yourself hunger means thirst. I wish you all success . I do get blood work yearly and my iron gets low and Vit D so have to do those vitamin supplements . Breakfast is my

biggest meal of the day. Today and for years it was an egg, little tomato

and onion.
