What does your typical day of food look like?

I just had lapband to RNY on Feb 15. After about a week or so I will move on to regular foods slowly and back to work.

I am trying to come up with a schedule to eat at work and at home so I can stick to it and not miss any meals or eat something unplanned.

What do you typically eat as meals throughout the day?

I eat 6 small meals a day, never over 750 calories and always get my protein in.

Being fresh out of surgery, yours will be different than mine. I eat meat. A lot.

The first solid foods I ate were deli meats. Ham mostly. Very moist, tender, went down easily.

Check out the What are You Eating Today thread here. You'll get lots of ideas.

B:  unflavoured oatmeal with unflavoured protein powder, sweetener and cinnamon (sometimes a sliced banana for extra flavour) & coffee

L:  soup (homemade)/deli meat and cheese/salad with hard boiled eggs/leftovers (such as chicken salad/roast and gravy, etc) & coffee

Keeping a routine helps me out.  That usually means eating the same 'ol things like Greek yogurt, nuts, meats, homemade protein smoothies, cheese, and salad with vegetables.  Today, I scored a tasty lunch (it's NOON here in Minnesota)  at the Dollar Tree store---Bumble Bee Gourmet Flavors Albacore Tuna with Jalapenos and Olive Oil.  The 2.5 ounce pouch has 11 grams of protein; that's alotta bang for a buck.

I am. 13 years out and this is what I ate yesturday. Breakfast ..scrambled egg with chopped up tomato , onion and jalepeno pepper. Lunch: Greek yogurt flip with dark chocolate and slivered almonds. Dinner , a slice of turkey breast . Made the turkey on the BBQ grill. Snack , jicama. This plan will go on for weeks as I seriously eat to live. I do not eat luncheon meat as it's high sodium and chemicals etc. In the first year I felt it was so important to plan my meals and you need to. You NEED to weigh and measure . The time will come when you will say, hmm did I eat. I am at goal and happy.

Buy a crock pot if you don't already have one. They make life easier. You can plan a week full of meals with one. Also meat is usually moist.
