What does your typical day of food look like?
I just had lapband to RNY on Feb 15. After about a week or so I will move on to regular foods slowly and back to work.
I am trying to come up with a schedule to eat at work and at home so I can stick to it and not miss any meals or eat something unplanned.
What do you typically eat as meals throughout the day?
Being fresh out of surgery, yours will be different than mine. I eat meat. A lot.
The first solid foods I ate were deli meats. Ham mostly. Very moist, tender, went down easily.
Check out the What are You Eating Today thread here. You'll get lots of ideas.

B: unflavoured oatmeal with unflavoured protein powder, sweetener and cinnamon (sometimes a sliced banana for extra flavour) & coffee
S: hummus and veggies
L: soup (homemade)/deli meat and cheese/salad with hard boiled eggs/leftovers (such as chicken salad/roast and gravy, etc) & coffee
D: meatballs/roast/chicken/butter chicken.
S: Depends on my protein intake. If I'm hungry and require protein, I'll have a shake. Otherwise, I'll have some cheese and fruit.
I have a glass of water between meals and take vitamins with my water.
I had RNY in October so Im almost 5 minths out. My daily routine looks like this:
6:00: Greek yogurt and coffee (skim milk and sweet n low)
9:00 - 10:00: Protein shake ( sip it for the entire hour )
12:00: usually a couple of cheese sticks and a piece of deli turkey or roast beef
2:30: 14 pepperoni slices
5:30: three ounces of some kind of meat....hopefully a bite or two of vegetables
8:00: either a sugar free popsicle, some pitacchios, or a dill pickle
rinse, repeat.....rinse, repeat......rinse, repeat
Keeping a routine helps me out. That usually means eating the same 'ol things like Greek yogurt, nuts, meats, homemade protein smoothies, cheese, and salad with vegetables. Today, I scored a tasty lunch (it's NOON here in Minnesota) at the Dollar Tree store---Bumble Bee Gourmet Flavors Albacore Tuna with Jalapenos and Olive Oil. The 2.5 ounce pouch has 11 grams of protein; that's alotta bang for a buck.
I am. 13 years out and this is what I ate yesturday. Breakfast ..scrambled egg with chopped up tomato , onion and jalepeno pepper. Lunch: Greek yogurt flip with dark chocolate and slivered almonds. Dinner , a slice of turkey breast . Made the turkey on the BBQ grill. Snack , jicama. This plan will go on for weeks as I seriously eat to live. I do not eat luncheon meat as it's high sodium and chemicals etc. In the first year I felt it was so important to plan my meals and you need to. You NEED to weigh and measure . The time will come when you will say, hmm did I eat. I am at goal and happy.
