Good morning!  Hmm.. weird food combos.  Growing up I used to make burritos with just melted cheese, taco sauce and smashed up lays potato chips (so good!).  My husband thinks I'm nuts because I dip fish sticks in ketchup.  Is that weird?

When I used to eat fish sticks I dunked them in ketchup also, same with chicken nuggets, though I liked them in bbq sauce better.

Good morning AV and my peeps. I have been less able to get on all week because we have a co-worker in from Champlain, NY training with us all week, so I have more people around me and I'm not able to devote as much of my time to you all. I missed the gross food yesterday, and I'm kinda glad that I did because I just threw up a little in my mouth thinking about peanut butter and balogna.

I feel victorious. I went to dinner last night with my boss and coworkers and everyone else had 2 drinks. I had water, which I didn't touch after the food came. I call that a victory. It's funny how sometimes people encourage you to do something that you've told them you aren't going to do. I mentioned that I'm giving up booze for the month and both of my coworkers and my boss kept encouraging me to order something. I stayed strong. Same with the appetizers and BREAD. My boss, who has seen me eat 5 days a week for the last 7 months kept asking if I wanted the last piece of bread. Seriously? Anyway, I stayed strong, and was so tired by the time I got to pick up my kiddo from grandmas at 8:30 that after I got him into bed I just passed out. No thoughts of snacking or anything.

I don't have anything weird now that I like, unless you think that plain yogurt and salsa together is weird. But before surgery I LOVED ketchup on almost everything. I'd make Kraft mac and cheese and add ketchup to it. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. I also vote for Mayo on fries. My first job was working at Rally's (Also known as Checkers in some areas). They have the very best seasoned fries I have ever had. When I worked there we used to eat them right from the fryer and dip them in mayo instead of ketchup. ok, now i need a napkin to clean up the drool.

So, here's my plan for the day:

7 months since surgery.

B: 1 egg scrambled, 1 bacon, 1/2oz mozzarella cheese on 1/2 a low carb tortilla

L: leftover NY Strip from dinner last night with yummy green beans.

D: 4oz boneless chicken with some sort of veggie.

S: a boiled egg that I peeled for my kid, who them changed his mind and decided he didn't want it. Light and Fit Greek Peach yogurt. 1/2c Kefir with a splash of torani.

Totals:

Calories 876 Protein 100 Carbs 41 Fat 34

Also, today is an anniversary. 10 years ago today I met my husband in person for the first time. We had met while playing an MMORPG, and he was in town for his best friends wedding. It is also the first day I started as a temp at my current job. So, big day today for memories. I called my husband this morning since he's in Little Rock working, and told him. Of course he says "we're not celebrating that are we?" and I said "my calling and telling you about it is the celebration, silly."

have a great day everyone, and stay on plan!

Morning AV. Food yesterday was a ribeye, sausage, ham and cheese sandwich, and movie popcorn. Mmmm. And a great time talking with Juniper.

I don't mix foods. The most "mixing" I do is ham, cheese, and bread. I do put absurd amounts of salt on some things.

The oddest thing I used to do was scoop a Wendy's Frosty with french fries. It's the only odd thing I've ever done.

The rest of you, stop putting peanut butter on stuff. It's not a condiment. It goes on bread or bread-like products. Or with chocolate, and that's it.

Or a spoon. Peanut butter goes great on a spoon.

You salt your food??   I only use salt when cooking, even then I do so sparingly, I never salt food after cooking, but I'm not averse to adding sauces or cheese.

I also used to dip french fries in a vanilla shake, only during my two pregnancies though.

I'm tempted to drill out the holes in the top of my salt shaker so it will come out faster. Yeah, I use a lot of salt.

A couple of doctors actually suggested it. My blood pressure had gotten really low.
