Have I mentioned how happy I am when I log in and the menu post is up the first time I check? It gives me a little thrill every time. I'm easy to please.

Honestly I don't think I like any weird food combos - because I'm a picky eater to be frank. I don't think of myself as a picky eater, but I am, objectively speaking. Apparently I didn't read all of the post yesterday because, seriously, girl, PB and baloney sounds DIS-GUS-TING!

Time since surgery: 23 months

B: coffee with cream, breakfast sammie

S: Breakstone Cottage Cheese Double, another coffee with cream (it's one of those weeks)

L: turkey meatballs with sauce and cheese, sweetened ricotta

S: turkey sausage bites, string cheese

D: TJ's chile lime burger

S: popcorn and froyo tube

TOTALS: Calories 1080, Protein 89, Carbs 85, Fat 48

V/W: on track

E: yoga tonight

Day 3 of more protein than carbs - success! Even by a smidge counts. QUESTION - what do you feel to be an "acceptable" protein to carb ratio? Like when you look at a nutrition label where do you draw the line (when you're making good choices that is LOL)?

PB & Baloney 4-EVAH!

I'm not sure if I evaluate the protein/carb ration per item, more like by my menu as a whole.  I like to aim for twice as many protein grams as carbs for the day.  I'm not always successful, but I try!

I agree.  I don't look at the ratio on an item by item basis.  Although, that's not actually true, since I try to keep my protein to calories at a 1 to 10 ratio.  I'm not always successful as I do love me a Kind bar, but I try.

I don't fret carbs the way some do, so i don't have a ratio. But I use the 100/10 rule. For every 100 calories, something needs to have at least 10 grams of protein. Calories are still my primary focus.
