Will I hurt my new stomach if I move on to soft foods too fast?
I think you should be talking to your Doc/NUT along with taking advice for OH....if all of that is possible. I also read that ALL providers have a different plan they want their patients to follow. I value the medical teams advice, after all they are the professionals HOWEVER we here on OH have gone through it. I am almost 4 months post-op and still struggle with some things like incorporating non soft foods/regular foods still. If I eat things like mashed potatoes (I have only done this 2 times since surgery) or cream of wheat I add unflavored protien powder to it....granit....they are high in carbs however, if my pouch is sensitive that day and I am struggeling to eat I make sure to thin it way out and at least it is something and helping with my daily protien goal. I also LOVE my protien shakes....I drink 1 throughout the day. I may not be as advanced in my weight loss as others are that have replied but every body is different and progresses at different paces. Making and adapting new and better eating habits now will help you out in the long run down the road!
Cottage cheese and cream of wheat were both in my acceptable foods for full fluids.
