Recent RNYers- 1 night or 2 night hospital stay?

2 nights, and i was first thing in the morning and had no complications. My Dr. said he rarely discharges after 1 night for RNY

2 nights for me. You will probably not be able to drive for a week due to pain meds FYI

I stayed one night. About 70 percent of my surgeons patients go home after one night.

Three nights for me - standard for the program I was in. Personally, I would have been fine to go home after 2 nights. One night would have been too soon.

Plan to have church members, neighbors, friends to help take care of your children in case of complications.  I was in 3 nights due to  hiatal hernia.

I stayed 2 nights but the 2nd night was because I was so incredibly sick from the morphine pump they were worried about my extream nausea....and my BP spiked hecka high.....if I hadn't had those 2 issues I would have gone home the next day.  My surgery was the last of the day about 1600 or so.  Every body is different....I would plan on 2 just to be sure.

Mine was open due to previous surgery scar tissue. I was there 5 days

I ended staying 4 nights, I had a lazy bowl. And really wish I stayed the next night because I went to the Er twice in 24 hours. I had a lot of minor compclations. You can never plan on something like that. I went in thought I was staying one day.
