Go ahead and call your coordinator. The "surgery" date is probably fictitious. They have to put a date on the auth request. You might be waiting awhile if you wait for the coordinator to call you. It is easier for a coordinator to stop and schedule a patient while they have them on the phone vs finding time to call each patient to schedule.

I speak from experience. I schedule surgeries for a head and neck cancer doctor.
