What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?

Hello Weekend Menu Posters!
I hope you all had a great day yesterday. I finally dragged myself to the gym for a proper workout yesterday, and WOW I am sore today! But I am on my way back out the door to go, right now. Then I am going to the Zoo to see the new baby Nigerian Dwarf goat. I have a soft spot for baby goats :)
Last night I went out to dinner and ordered a Shrimp & Linguica appetizer. OMG, they neglected to mention that it came in a cast iron pan filled with oil. It was nasty. I didn't eat much--it was too rich and actually turning my stomach after a few bites. But I am guessing those few bites were about a weeks worth of calories!
I probably won't get to post on the M & T menu boards this week. I have to go to an ALICE training, which is about how to respond to an active shooter on a school campus. I am being charged with rewriting all of our policies for our schools. It turns out that during the 2 day training, they do some simulation using airsoft guns. I am a total novice to this stuff. They say I need to dress to be able to run, and to wear layers to take a fake bullet. Yeesh, this is not like the usual trainings I go to! Does anyone have experience with airsoft? Is it going to hurt? I am SOO not looking forward to this...

Wow on your training.... Geesh hard stuff to deal with.
I have not attempted the eating out at a Restaurant thing yet. I bought some bento boxes off of Wayfair and have been using those. Thankfully at 4 1/2 months out no restaurant has crossed my path.
Today in an attempt to get back into the game..... Since I am also thinking some of my headaches are food related(???)too.
I am baking Eggfaces Denver Bites and Sausage Breakfast bites. Roasting a chicken for A/Vs chicken salad making FRIENDLY Chicken Parm.
Have a nice Sunday!!
Yikes JB! That sounds like a crappy training program. Airsoft guns can vary a lot in how powerful they are. But if I were you, I wouldn't leave any skin exposed -- no short sleeves or skirts. They could leave little bruises, for sure. Definitely run away. But, if given the option, I would still prefer getting shot a few times with an airgun to eating oily shrimp and linguica.
Do people not from around here even know what linguica is?
Have fun with little Chewbaca! And I hope you get time to post this week.

Awwww, look at little Chewy!
If she goes missing, I'll know what happened. Plus, your cats will be upset with a new addition.

I hate to be stupid, but what is linguica? I second Grimsby comments on the airsoft. Make sure to wear layers because it usually stings and can leave a bruise on bare skin. I have experience since I had two rough and tumble boys who went through an airsoft phase. I just loved finding the little pellets all over the house! Busy day today and know I won't get my long walk with Lily in so I got up half and hour early and did two miles on the treadmill already. Have to leave for church in about 40 minutes to rehearse music for the service. Then after church it's home to make lunch for hubby and I. By noon I have to head out for a 45 minute drive to my last 5 hours of my recertification class to be a layspeaker, where I will do a 5 to 7 minute sermon in front of 50 total strangers. It'll be 7 tonight by the time I get home, and then Lily and I will walk around town for another mile or so. That's the plan anyway! Here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili D Quest protein bar (don't usually use or like these but I'll be eating while driving home so it will have to do) S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone!
It's a type of sausage. I had to look it up because I'd never heard of it either. Gotta love the interwebz!
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Yeah, it's a little like pepperoni. It's Portuguese, and I think the only place you'll find it is in eastern Mass. It's very popular on pizza here.
