Thank you Brian,

I am sure I need to change things up.  I have relied on walking for the bulk of my exercise.  My body is expecting the same thing.

Hi Kim,

Do you read the 'What's on the menu today RNYers?" If not please do and if you already do then please join us, the ladies and gents are WONDERFUL on that thread. You will be given lots of support, advice, menu help & meal & snack ideas.

60% weight loss is awesome, you are doing great, stalls happen and are very discouraging.  We have all been there and if you are willing to stick around and take the advice the vets and work your tool, follow the rules you will be extremely successful.  You have proven that you can do this, so on to the next 6 months!

I had RNY Nov 15 2013, I went from 250 lbs to currently I weigh 122 lbs as of today.  I didn't start exercising until I was 9 or 10 months post op.  I do exercise a lot now, but its not for weight loss its because I love to exercise. Its when I can have "me" time, I can be completely selfish and take the hour or two and spend it on me how I want to. I feel like its for my mental and emotional health, its how I unwind.  If you enjoy the exercise, don't stop, its good for your mind, body & soul, but don't rely on it for weight loss, that's where your "tool" comes in. That's where eating high protein, low carb and weighing and measuring is key. Do you use MyFitnessPal?  If you don't you should sign up, its a free app and then post a sample of one day's eating for you and we "regulars" would love to help tweak it and help out in any way we can.

You got a lot of great advice from the Vets here.  Let us help you get to the next goal.

Keep up the great work you are doing fantastic Kim, glad you stopped by and asked for support.

Have a good weekend!

Daisy

DONT GET DISCOURAGED!!!!!!  This happens to ALL of us.  Continue to get your protein in and make sure your water intake, if you have to put another shake in (I know its better to come from food) to get that protein up than do so.  I just wasn't eating enough so I had to add a second shake daily and boom the scale started moving again.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  There have been MANY stalls along the way, one day I'm down a pound next Im up .5-.8 then down .3 it does get frustrating but its still coming off.  There is a tool in here in health tracker I believe that shows the progression of weight loss, you input your weight however often you want since the start of surgery, it helps keep me focused when I have these "stalls" that I'm still loosing weight.  ALSO when I have stalls I'm still loosing inches!!!!
