Pasta and cake at 6 weeks out grrrr some people
What if we sprinkle protein powder over everything??
Kidding!
We've seen some doozies on here, like GeekMonster stated...and I wish she was exaggerating, but she isn't. The best part is that some of those same people get very easily offended when they are told they shouldn't be eating stuff like that early out.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

I've seen people like this when I went to support group meetings. I can tell right away when I ask "what surgery did you have?" And they don't know or say I had a Ryn. Really?? You have major life changing surgery and you do so little research that you don't even know the name of the surgery? I'm sure they also don't know how to eat. Very sad
In Canada, people getting the surgery through our health care system are not allowed to even get the surgery if they cannot describe exactly what alterations are made to the body.
IMHO, the most important work we do pre- & post WLS has more to do with the "head stuff" (the reasons why, issues/emotional aspects of our obesity) than what we eat or what exercises we do.
P.S. 'If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.' ;) Hopefully she'll find a good example and make some changes quick.
The thing is often... myself included... blame a lot of our "stuff" on the weight... probably because it's easier than looking at the real reasons... and it's what society falsely tells us skinny=perfect, happy, loveable, successful, but when the weight is gone... a spotlight shines down and then what... eventually I believe the dragons need to be slayed or at least start stabbing at them because they DO NOT go away with the pounds.
