My weekend will be nursing my 11-yr-old as he recovers from surgery. We had to leave home at 5:15 am to take him in for the surgery...check in at 6. He was having some screws removed from his legs--last year they put in some plates to straighten his legs. Now that his legs are straight, they leave the plates in, but remove one screw, then monitor his legs for a few years until he stops growing. The initial surgery last year was VERY painful--very long recovery. He is alert now, still in recovery, so I expect this time will go easier.
Photo1 is the screws they removed from his femurs! Photo 2 is me resting earlier this week, and my dog crawled up and curled around my head for a nap, too. Will have to post pic later--not working on my mobile device.
Today's plan:
B:2 slices bacon, 4 bites nasty cafeteri
a egg
L: Ricotta bake
D: not sure on this one. Probably baked talapia and cabbage.
S: crio Bru thru the day (that's my cocoa bean coffee alternative) with splashes of unsweetened soy milk.
S: Greek yogurt/chia seed pod.
S (if needed): Kind bar
Give your little guy an extra hug from us.

I'm another unlucky weekend worker. This time it's all my fault. I have to finish my timesheets which are the bane of my existence. I have everything written out, but have to enter it into the timekeeping software. So, a few hours in the office it will be. Other than that, I don't have much going on. A beach run tomorrow morning and then an academy awards watching party on Sunday night. I'm on day 4 of my aversion to food. It is the weirdest thing guys . . . absolutely nothing sounds good. I'm eating since I know I have to, but after about 2 oz, my stomach feels like it's tied in knots or filled with boulders. I'm going to give it until Monday and if it's not better, give my Dr. a call. On the bright side, I continue to lose weight.
My menu is completely up in the air, since I don't know what, if anything will sit well. Here's what I have planned so far:
B: 3.2 oz ground turkey, 1.1 oz cheese
L: hamburger patty with a slice of cheese (actually it's the leftovers from the two half patties I've eaten the past 2 days)
D: ??
S: Skinny vanilla latte
No totals since so much is up in the air.
Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Happy Friday everyone! Its been a long week! Nothing exciting this weekend. I actually wish I didn't have plans, I really need a quiet weekend so I can relax, but I digress... step class tonight after work, then home to do some baking. We have been invited to my in-laws for dinner tomorrow night and I am "bringing dessert." Going to make Carrot Cake & Vanilla cupcakes. ALL will go to my in laws so there is no chance of sampling some on the weekend. Tomorrow going to the gym in the morning, then giving my two Labs a bath, that's a huge job in itself. Dinner at the in laws Saturday night, gym Sunday morning, laundry and grocery shopping and then we are back at Monday!
Time since Surgery: 2 years + 3.5 months
B: coffee, coffee, celery & 4 garlic & herb laughing cow cheese
L: one can of tuna, over a handful or organic greens & balsamic dressing
S: celery and 2 garlic & herb laughing cow cheese & protein hot chocolate (Health Smart Brand - Nashua Nutrition)
D: 4 oz of steak + 1/4 cup of green beans
S: not sure really, maybe some deli salami & cheese & mustard roll ups
TOTALS: Cals: 713 Protein: 81 Carbs: 32 Fat: 32 (totals are without evening snack as not sure I will have it)
My pics today are two random ones... first one is from my hike with the dogs last night, this is the SNOW filled park where I hike them, it was cold & blustery and as we were walking home the sun came out. Second pic is a screen shot of my Tuesday "steps," think I had mentioned to you all I was aiming for 15 kms a day, I hit 17.6 kms that day and I was super happy!
Have a wonderful weekend all!

Yawn* Morning Peach! I had an unexpected sick day today. when I got home from work last night, my 2 year old was nodding off on the couch. He hadn't napped all day, so I went to make dinner and when it was done we half heartedly tried to wake him up. Unfortunately, he was so tired it felt mean to get him up, so my husband just took him up to bed. Fast forward to 2:30 am when said 2 year old was wide awake and hungry for the dinner he missed. so i got up with him and fed him, then played with him until around 5:30 where he fell back asleep. I kinda napped a bit on the couch until my husband came down at 7:30. I waited and called into work sick, since i was feeling wiped out. I sent the little one to grandmas and curled up on the couch.
Its after lunch and I"m still in my PJs. I feel lazy, so I am thinking I should go take a shower and at least put a bra on.
I do have a plan for the day, and my food has been great.
B: 1 egg with 1 oz mozzarella on 1/2 a low carb tortilla
L: 3 oz chicken deli meat with 1/2 oz cheese and mustard on low carb tortilla
D: shrimp and ****tail sauce. I didn't eat it last night, but had chicken hotdog with turkey beanless chili w/mustard and 10 shoestring fries. I stayed at 55g of carbs, and my calories under 900 so I felt good about it.
S: light and fit with 15g protein granola
going out with friends tonight that i haven't seen in years. I'll limit myself to one captian morgan and diet.
Totals:
Calories 835 protein 84 carbs 35 fat 35
Here's a pic I took this morning at about 4:30am.
