My pit bull is a "sexy" New Mexican.
This is our Millie. She prefers wigs over caps. She's a rescue too. Our neighbor dogs bark and bark when they see her in our yard, but she ignores them - she is so over it.

All these dog stories make me smile and cry happy tears! Animals are so special and so perceptive. Our Lily was a rescue too as have all my dogs been. She was sent to a shelter at 51/2 years old from a puppy mill. She had no name and a chain with a number on it around her neck. She only had one accident in the house and was quickly potty trained. Two weeks after we got her she and I went to obedience class. When we started she didn't even know her name. In the course of 6 weeks she learned all the basic commands. Turns out she is very smart and will do anything to please you. She was very timid and not socialized at all when we got her but she has gotten so much better in the almost 2 years since we've had her. She loves car rides and when we went to Georgia in December she went with. Hubby said she was better behaved than I was! And best of all she LOVE walks so she and I do 3 plus miles a day. A great way to keep moving. Even when weather is bad and I am stuck on the treadmill she lays on her bed beside me while I walk. I like dogs so much more than most people!
