Those are some good ideas.  I do know what it is like to have something I used to like that I no longer like, due to some "grossness" connection.  Glazed donuts are like that for me.  Also, I have neutral feelings about ice cream and soda.  Take it or leave it on both of those.  I also appreciate the ideas about placement, etc.

I have so much respect for you Grim and totally enjoy all your posts but as a 13 year vet I have to ask, isn't 2000 calories a lot?

For 2-1/2 years, I've maintained at close to 2,500 calories a day. According to most calculators, that's exactly where I should be. But, I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop, and if my weight bumps upward, I think I'm prepared to drop down. So far, it's working for me. But nothing ever stays the same.

I maintain on about 1800-2000 calories per day and can lose easily at around 1200 per day.    I had my metabolism tested last November and I am 20 per cent faster than the average woman my age.  I suspect Grim is the same - we are both well over average height (I am 6ft tall), but not sure if that has anything to do with it - maybe coincidence?

I attribute all good things to clean living and a clear conscience. How about you?

My husband needs to get a colonoscopy for the first time this year, since he just turned 50!  He is NOT looking forward to it.  He doesn't do well with meds in general, so it really won't be much fun.  He gets sick.

QOTD: hmmmmm I really don't like snakes!  Its something about the way they move, I just ....  When I was in like second grade, at a field trip to a nature place, they had one of those HUGE snakes, and they made me touch the damn thing.  I cried and cried.  JERKS

This week has been way too busy! I did manage to get my exercise in yesterday but not sure about today as I have appointments all morning, but I will do what I can on the treadmill and bike. Even if I only get part done,it's better than nothing, right? My phobia is heights. I would love to do a zip line someday to see what it feels like to fly but I'm not really sure I could get up there! Going down bleachers at a sporting event if they are open where I can see the ground almost makes me cry in public! I'm right there with you on the swans or geese too AV. They are so big they scare me as do turkeys. We at one point when the boys were tiny had a male and a female turkey living in a cage in our backyard. They loved my boys and the hubby, but even though I fed and watered them every day, when I went in the pen the male would come running at me squawking and flapping his wings. Scared me to death and I think he probably knew that! Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey (haha)with cheese 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz baked fish 1/2 c Chinese veggie blend S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
