-This really doesnt have to be. There are so many great recipes. Trying new things like braised radishes or cabbage recipes can really liven up a meal.  If someone is bored with the post op diet, they arent putting in enough time researching new foods, recipes and preperation techniques and cooking.

Be careful you don't trip on your hubris!

Remember, it's easy to put "enough time and research" in when you are a young newly-wed --

Add a couple of kids to that, and it's amazing how much less time is available.

I think you're thinking of humus -- but if it's green that's certainly why you hate it.

There is not exciting or new in this post op way of eating. It's not a diet, it's our LIFE. Protein first and portion control and exercise is the key to my success

Are you going to your Support Group Meetings - that might help.  You are at the 2.75 yr post-WLS.  That is a challenging period for many people.  Grim is right.  Do not give up now, pull out all the stops to put the Kibosh on this at 15 pounds.

Good luck.

PS - i learned how to spell Kibosh!!!

I am sure everyone has told you is get rid of any carbs in your life. I had my surgery in October of 2013. I still deal with major head hunger. I do feel restriction. Thank goodness.

Maybe you can look to see what is happening when the hunger strikes. I know I have major triggers for me. I can'****ch the cooking channel even if I am not hungry I would be able to eat.

Clean your cabinets out. Maybe seek therapy. Here is a good place to come for help. Talking about this with others can help.

Best wishes to you.

You need a nutritional work up.

I would  Boost protein in the morning and at noon. Sounds like B 's are low...and I would also add a small amount 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil to one meal a day , morning or noon...to nourish the brain and heart. Coconut oil is the only fat that has 4 chains of fat and cross the blood-brain barrier. This IS something CARDio ologists are recommending now as well.
