Strange things people say.....

I went to dinner with my husband tonight for a salad at soup plantation and as I was walking back and forth to get my iced tea I noticed this man looking at me, I smiled and walked past.  As the man was leaving I was sitting alone, my husband had left to refill his drink and the man came up to me and whispered in my ear, you are flawless never change.  I have never heard such a thing and I just let out a laugh and said thanks and thought dude if you only knew.  My husband returned to me laughing, I told him what the guy said and of course he said its true I tell you that all the time.  But it was the wording I found ironic, flawless, like seriously, how can one look at a person and see if they are flawless or not.  I am pretty clearly flawed.  And the never change part, did that mean I should be skipping dessert that I was looking like I was on the verge of catastrophe.  I told my husband I am not certain that was actually a compliment, perhaps it was a warning.  I will never know, but I was entertained albeit nervous he was going to kidnap me and pull a Buffalo Bill on me to wear my so-called flawless skin. Cue creepy music. Yup that's how my mind works.  Trust no one.  lol. Or maybe it's the fact I have been binge watching the Walking Dead since I came down with bronchitis a week ago.  Oh well off to Death Valley tomorrow to see the super bloom.

Most definitely, bringing the big guns for that.  When I am too lazy I use my iPhone but for animals and nature I go all out.

Me too.  We drove to Las Vegas today and now my husband got sick.  I am sitting in a beautiful hotel bored to tears!  I hope he feels better tomorrow or this is gonna be a wasted trip.

Here's a strange story, too:  I once knew an attractive couple where the woman would be engaging in conversation as long as the focus was on her.  If not, she was like a wilted flower. It was interesting to watch how he could bring her back to life by showering her with compliments.  My guess why they are no longer together is because he got tired of the relationship dynamics so she moved on to a new man that provided the need for constant affirmation.

I find compliments uncomfortable, always have, I have the same awkward reaction rather it be a stranger or my husband who is saying it.  I typically laugh.  The guy we buy all out plants from called me a looker, now every time we go there I get embarrassed and try to avoid him even though hes a sweet older guy, I just feel awkward.  Last week he asked me if my hair was real, I guess I do wear a lot of wigs and he gets confused, he went on to tell me my hair was cute and his wife was losing her hair and she used to be a hairdresser and she missed having thick hair.  I said I know age creeps up, my hairs not thick anymore either, he said oh no your just a youngster. I laughed.  I know he's being nice I just hate attention.

Plastics, fillers and botox, plus good makeup in low light can really do wonders...

My friend typically says: "There are no ugly women, but sometimes there is not enough beer"
