GREEK YOGURT
I also love homemade yogurt. Curious though, what are your 'extra probiotic cultures'... always open to something new.

Well, I was using relatively cheap probiotics --- but my friend who is a health nut uses some VERY expensive ones. I cannot afford them -- they are around $70ish a bottle, I believe. I think they're called VSL3 and they have 450 billion live lactic acid bacteria -- but I have also used ThreeLac and 5Lac. Anyhow, these come in sachets or capsules. I open the sachet into the yogurt when I add my start. This way, I am breeding the cultures into my own whole food.
When I am done, I take about 1/4 cup into a small glass container for my next batch's start. I also only store in glass containers.
I completely use a new start once every two months. From what I understand, it will get heavy in Lactobacillus Bulgaricus otherwise.
