NSVs Let's hear them

I bought a pair of boots at Christmas time. I never opened the box. I just forgot about them in my closet. I opened them up today and they were not zip up boots. You just slip your foot in them. I was thinking these are never going to fit me.
Well guess what they did. Not snug on my leg either.
We want to hear your NSVs. I know I do.
My biggest NSV is that I can ride my horses again. I can easily get on (with use of mounting block due to bad knee) and off. I even plan to train my coming 4 year old to ride. She is a start mare that has been home grown and doing well.
This is April my fatty girl who will be broke this year. Oh the joys of spending time with my girls.
Yes. Not only my freedom, but my confidence. When I rode a few weeks back my Haflinger had not been ridden in 4 years. She may be short, but she is a *****y girl. We walked around the ring a few times and I could tell she was a bit nervous. I was not nervous and when she spooked I calmly told her to "whoa" and adjusted my seat. She stopped and turned her head to the left and just looked at me. She was not nervous after that.
Now had this happened last year I would have dismounted in a not very nice way and had been a nervous wreck.
I would be offended if someone called me a green vegetable. I'd prefer . . . Lambchop maybe.
