Thought I'd check in. Still in the land of babies and toddlers. Snow coming and winds so I hope it doesn't effect my getting out of here on Thursday.

My almost 3 year old son is keeping me laughing they have quite a mind at this age. He calls me Ama. Actually NY Ama, his other grandmother is Up North Ama because she is from Wisconsin. He asked/stated the other day I have the name NY Ama because my parents gave it to me. Hahaha

He also told his dad before I came to tell me to bring Bagels. Nor even three and he know the best bagels come from NY. I brought 7 because that is what I could fit in my bag and he wanted to know why I didn't bring more. Kid after my own heart.

menu? , Been drinking protein drinks when I can.

B: Cottage cheese with cantelope and blueberries

L: Low carb hummus wrap

D: roast chicken, roasted veggies

Snacks= protein drinks

E: running after a toddler.

The land of babies and toddlers is such a happy land.  Enjoy.

I love the vanilla creme!  They are also only 8 carbs so they are the lowest if all the power  crunch.  The brownie is the highest, probably why it is your fave. The salted caramel is my second fave.

I think I have a different one, because the brownie and the vanilla dream are both 14 carbs.  They're not the ones with the wafers; they have like crispies in them.  And the vanilla was really good!

Good morning.  I LOVE today's KQOTD.  I am with you!  I hate loud chewers.  There's a clerk in my office who is a loud chewer and she combines it with roaming eating.  Drives me crazy.  The latest favorite are crunchy cheetos.  So, I have the sound and smell combo.  I would like to close my door, but this office pretty much has an open door policy (except for conference calls, etc.) so it would definitely be noticed.  So, at 10 a.m. sharp I have to deal with the roaming cheetos.  Ugh.

It's going to be especially hard today.  For the first time since my surgery almost 2 years ago, I have some sort of stomach bug (either alone or in combo with the out of control acid I've been having.)  I was up pretty much all night fighting the nausea.  I got up and took my shower this morning, went to dry my hair and had to sit down because I was feeling so poorly.  I really don't think I can stand the smell of the cheetos today.  It may just push me over the edge.  Question for any of you who have been sick post surgery.  What did you eat?  I brought the menu I planned yesterday, but I was gagging as I was pulling it out of the fridge.  I found some crackers (which I know for sure isn't my best choice) and would kill for some plain oatmeal right about now, but the thought of eating ground turkey or pork is making my head pound.  Suggestions?

Here's what I have planned:

B: Ground turkey and cheese (2.9 oz and 1.1. oz respectively)

L: Zucchini lasagna

D: Pork chop and snap peas

S: light and fit; kind bar

The chance of this menu happening is nil, but its the plan.  Assuming I perk up in the near future my totals are as follows:

Cal.: 978; Protein: 94g; Fat: 48g; Carbs 40g

LOL @ roaming Cheetos!  There a couple of those here, too.  Can't you wait until you get back to your desk?!

When I was sick a few weeks ago, I went the classic chicken noodle soup and saltines route.  It's like witchcraft how that makes me feel better.  Eat what you want.

Right?  Do you really have to walk around holding the bag of Cheetos?  My assistant is her friend so she's always over at her desk chatting . . . and chomping . . . and leaving a trail of neon orange powder . . . I want to snatch the bag away, stomp on it so that nothing but crumbs remain and then trash the whole thing

I'm with AV, chicken broth or chicken noodle soup always help tame the tummy.

Feel better soon!
