What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Morning AV. I'm totally not even coming up with something like this right now, which is totally shocking since I'm coming up on shark week fast and feel irritated in general, but don't have any specific target for my irritation.
My mom is having her right kidney removed tomorrow. She has polycystic kindey disease, COPD, high blood pressure, and I just found out that she is still smoking, even if she's cut down a lot. I am trying not to worry too much, but as my morning wears on, I'm getting more and more anxiety. We're supposed to get a big storm tomorrow (meaning more snow than we've had all year at 7-11 inches) and I am taking the day off to go to the hospital for the surger. I know I'll just be sitting in the waiting room, but it will make me feel better to be there just in case. My mom is only 63, and while she has not always been the best mother in the world, I love her to bits and she's the only one I have. Prayers for my mommy, please.

Had therapy this morning. It went well, she gave me an idea on how to help control the eating off plan. I also decided on my own I'm going to pick up the mindful eating book. I kinda had a food incident last night after the whole shrimp debacle. Pork rind calories add up fast. I think going forward if I purchase any kind of snack I will break it out into portions immediately. If I had measured a serving instead of sitting with the bag on my lap, I would have been fine. Oh, the trials of a food addict.

here's my plan for the day, I got a late start and just ate my breakfast, which is good because it's cutting my calories by 80, since I'm skipping the yogurt I had planned with my egg muffin this morning.

6.5ish months since surgery

B: Veggie and Feta egg muffin and coffee with cream and splenda

L: WW Smart Ones Tomato Basil Chicken with Spinach (frozen meal with 160 cal 18 protein and 13 carbs, no pasta or rice)

D: Grilled boneless chicken and steamed cauliflower or broccoli

S: light and fit with 15g if protein granola for crunch, cocoa dusted almonds 15g, celery with 2oz of greek yogurt ranch dip.

Totals

Cal 690 Protein 76 Carbs 45 Fat 26

I might add a light and fit in this evening, or 1/2 a scoop of protein drink to make a hot coco. I just got a variety pack of Torani Sugar free syrups last night and I'm itching to try a chocolate raspberry protein hot chocolate using Unjury Chocolate Supreme. That would add about 100 calories and really boost my protein. The problem is I can never finish this, because it's just all too damn sweet. Even my coffee I drink barely sweetened and protein drinks and sickeningly sweet. Maybe half a scoop of protein instead.

Have a great Tuesday all!

I didn't want to spring for it because I'm actually cheap,  but it's so muck chapter to get the pack from amazon than to try to buy single bottles.

If I wasn't 10 years older I'd think we were twins separated at birth.  That and we look nothing alike,  lol.

My mother and her ACTUAL TWIN look nothing alike.  But when you talk to them, together in the same place, you just KNOW they are sisters! HAHA

Best thoughts for your mom and for you.

I would love to know the title of the mindful eating book you are referring to.
