Well,  I like sugar,  so I do like chocolate cake,  but I'd prefer yellow cake.  Better yet, give me carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Even if I had to choose candy I'd  skip the chocolate and go for licorice or taffy. I'm justice fruity like that.

It is the WEIRDEST thing, I NEVER liked sweets before, I could pass up dessert no problem.  Now I'm like EAT ALL THE CHOCOLATE.

I think maybe it is because I am EXTRA strict about pasta, bread, rice etc because those were always my trigger foods, that a little chocolate doesn't sound as "bad" in my brain.  But really...it IS... I means carbs are carbs.

Had a busy and fairly good weekend but the RA is still acting up so I'll call in a few minutes to get a rheumatologist appointment.  Got my exercise in Saturday and made good food choices. I was basically gone all day yesterday so only got in a 1.2 is mile walk in with Lily late. But it was a small pouch day so I didn't even eat all my measured portions. Today is sunny but a bit cooler here. Will walk around noon 3.2 miles at the park with Lily. Will do 30 minutes on the bike and 1 mile around town with Lily before bed. Here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey with1/2 c Brussels sprouts D 31/2 oz lemon pepper salmon and 1/2 c broccoli S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make smart choices!

Morning RNY'ers!! I was good on Saturday; but stress and emotions had my carb count way to high on Sunday. I've got a handle on it now though. My son is faring far better than I expected with his braces- I would have let him skip school today but he wouldn't hear of it. It's 80's day and he looked so cool on his RUN DMC T-shirt and huge gold rope chain :-)
