Hypoglycemia?

Yes and yes.  When I eat carbs like potato, carrots, fruits - even if I eat them with proteins and fats - I would get RH.

I used to have severe low blood sugars in a middle of the night - very dangerous. To prevent that I now eat late nightsnack, just before bed. What works for me are lower carbs nuts orbit butter: I.e pecans, macadamia, Brazil, walnuts, almonds, coconuts.   Just a nice serving of 200-250 calories. Or outfitters - no sugar added nut butters.

Nuts are very complex - the have fat, protein and some carbs and they digest slowly as I sleep and keep my BS stable... Plus nuts don't "go bad " sitting in my gut for a few hours .(think of food fermenting in 98F ) and I don't end up with the bad taste in the morning...

I also keep some shelf stable items in my bedstand...in case my BS drops in a middle of the night. (i.e individually packed small serving of nut butters, chocolate..etc..)

Only if they are dumb and have dumb ignorant doctors.  Reactive hypoglycemia is very easily managed with diet.  Most of us get it for st least a time - and manage it.

Nothing to worry about and definitely nothing to get resolved with organ removal lol.  Some people imagine they are more special than the rest of us ...

There was a post on here a while ago about someone who was going to have her pancreas removed.  She had gained back her weight and ate a lot of sugar and wanted to continue eating sugar, so said she had found a surgeon to remove the pancreas.  Normal people learn to control their diet.

There is a difference between simple RH and a rarer condition called nessidioblastosis which is hypertrophy of the beta cells in the pancreas. This causes over growth of these cells which leads to overproduction of insulin at inappropriate times. This would warrant removal of part or all of your pancreas if medication does not help.
