What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
on 2/21/16 6:06 am
Good morning. I had to drag my arse out of bed this morning. I am glad I did. It is sunny and 60 already. I will say I really don't like museums. I get like car sick in them. I usually have to go outside and wait for everyone else. I love the mansions in Newport but they make me sick also. I know it sounds weird.
B:Crustless quiche with ham
L:Fish tacos
D:Pork with green beans
S:Yogurt/cheese
Vitamins are in for the morning. I think there is a walk in my future today.
One thing is good to do if you are not sure about a meal out. Have a protein bar with you.

Oh that's sad that they make you feel ill. I wonder why? I love the Newport mansions, too.

Hello all!
I was in an earthquake yesterday. When our house jolted, I looked at my wife and said I thought it was directly under because of how we shook. It was right under us. 3.3 not big at all, but for 1 second we shook.
The best museums are on the east coast. We have a pretty nice "bug museum" in Gorst WA. Right next to Cliff's cycle center, and 3 pot stores.
I kind of envy those of you who can go slightly off plan for a day. I think I'm too rigid in this. I will not allow myself ANYTHING off my 500-600 calories a day. Not even 1 bite. I am not proud of this, I feel afraid to eat. I envy those who trust themselves enough to enjoy things more.
B: 1 whole egg
L: pork loin, garlic cloves
D:Chuck roast carrots.
Protein drink
3 mile walk, Seattle trip w/ the family.
Have a great day all!

I did not eat one bite off plan for 5 months, until one day I did. And the world didn't end. Which kind of sucked--because then it got easier to go off plan just a little here and there.
I stick to plan very well M-F because my days are rigidly planned and I bring my food with me. But I started the weekend posts because I know that when I have a flexible schedule and unlimited access to food, I stray.
Moral of the story--keep doing what you're doing!

Bug museum. Nice.
I never went off plan while I was losing. It's just too easy for me to go completely off the rails.
I technically don't often go off plan now, either. Yesterday and today I had popcorn, but it was planned. I'll have crap other times, but 98% of the time it's already been worked into my plan.

The first time I came to this site. I saw a post from you Grim, it said to cherish my honeymoon time and race to goal as fast as I can. Many others replied with all sorts of advice. I chose a few solid voices to follow here. You helped me set my path as much as anyone I suppose.
I truly appreciate any voice here who speaks the hard truths so many of us deflect. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about the earthquake Gary, that must have been scary. Glad you and our family are ok!!
I think a bug museum would be cool!
NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING RIGID, in my opinion!! I think you are doing fantastic on staying on plan 100%. You are setting yourself up for major SUCCESS. You should be proud of not eating off plan, why would you not be proud. You are the model patient. You might change your mind down the road, and you might not. In my honest opinion there is nothing wrong with sticking to plan and doing what your surgeon asked you to do, this is what works for you and I say embrace it. Just my two cents.
Keep up the great work!!
Enjoy your walk and trip to Seattle with the family.

You're very nice. Thank you. It was a great day, we went to the Chihuly glass exhibit. I thought it was amazing. The kids wanted to go to the Nike store. I mean, that's ALL they would talk about.
Then about 2:00 pm it started to rain. Time to go.
I appreciate the support. Have a great week Daisy.
