Hey there Deanna! Congratulations on continued weight loss!
Good news! Yesterday I had my initial consult with my new surgeon. A little bitter sweet for me but that's ok. The doc wants to do a sleeve on me instead of the RNY due to my co-morbidities and the need to have to continue to take aspirin for my heart. He did say that once I have lost enough weight and I'm healthy enough he would do the revision to RNY if necessary. At that point I will have lost enough weight to able come off the aspirin. The good news is that my insurance company has agreed to fast track it. I should be able to get surgery in 2 to 3 months.

Chris! So awesome to see you back here. Bummer that the doc is doing the sleeve, and you'll have to have another surgery later down the line. But his reasons make sense, and you want to be as safe as possible. I'm so excited that it's all finally coming together for you. It was so heartbreaking when everything fell through last fall. You are going to rock it, no matter which surgery you have, you have definitely really fought for your surgery, and no one can say that you aren't motivated.
And... just because you're getting the sleeve now doesnt mean you can't slum it here on the RNY boards.
