Unable to take Multi Vitamins

Just after surgery i was able to take my multi-vitamins with no problem. But for about the last month or so ( i am 2 months post op) everytime i try to chew one of my vitamins it makes me sick and i have the urge to throw up. I go thru the motions but of course nothing ever comes up.

Has anyone every tried vitamin patches? i found a website that sells these and i compared the supplemental facts to the vitamins i currently can not stomach and they are very comparable.

If not any ideas on how to handle the vitamins. I have been useing the Celebrate brand that my surgeons office sells. I am wondering if it's the iron in the pills that makes me sick.

I  am happy to say i have lost 42 pounds andtoday is my 42nd birthday . i feel like a new woman

Gummy Vitamins are incomplete and missing a lot of things you need post surgery.  They are no better than Flintstones Vitamins.  Here is a link as to why they are not a good choice even for non-ops. https://labdoor.com/article/gummy-vitamins-just-say-no

Ok . Good to know . I'm awaiting approval for revision and I suppose the nutritional needs are quite different .

I just started PatchMD multivitamin this week.  Others who are using it have had good labs.  I plan to get labs in May.  It is much easier than taking a vitamin and I think there is more absorption than with a pill.

I was Oked to use Patchmd.com after surgery.  After a few months I went back to chewables.  I tried gummies, many of my friends LOVE gummies, and so did I -it was like desert.  But the gummies gae me a stomach ache, so I use the chewables now, but at a few weeks to months, I could not take the chewables.  My labs have been fine except for VIt D.

Have you tried vitamins that you swallow, versus the chewables? I was advised to take chewables at first, while the pouch healed, but then switched, as I got tired of them. Many doctors advise their patients that they can swallow vitamins from the very start. The patches will cost more than a big bottle of multivitamins,  if that is a consideration.

I was never require to take chewables.  I was swallowing whole pills immediately after surgery.  I was told to take them one at a time and not try to swallow the whole handful.
