What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! My hubbie and I upgraded to a king bed 2 years ago. BEST DECISION EVER! We bought a gel top foam mattress from Costco. LOVE IT! Nice and cool in the summer, warm in the winter and very comfy. I also love that I never feel him toss and turn anymore.

Disclaimer.... I am weird. I have a twin bed. Hubby and I each have out own twin in a something we can sleep well on. I tried to talk him into a more brady bunch setup, told him it would be lile camp.... He grumbled he hated camp, so we pushed them together. It is great for his back because he got something that worked for him and great for ke because we work different shifts and all his getting ready in the morning doesn't bother me.
Premier protein with coffee
1/2 red robin lettuce wrapped burger and broccoli.
Might have a muscle milk light later in the night.
Not sure of the counts because I have to figure out how to log the burger
On the way to the surgeon's now to get my fmla paperwork in. At least then I can call in when I need to from the gall bladder pain. Love working for the government but the redtape sucks a$$
Lol, please don't tell me you work for CBP, lol.
Worse, the IRS
Morning AV! I'm sorry about the poor slumber you had. Holy cow-- you need a new mattress though. I HATE mattress shopping, there is basically no way to comparison shop. Our mattress is about 3 years old. Its a pillow top king size, the type that doesn't need to be flipped. I just rotate it clockwise when I change sheets. (How often do ya'll change sheets BTW??) We were supposed to downgrade to a queen size- but we somehow forgot about that when we went shopping. There is so much space between me and my hubby...some nights thats a good thing-- other nights its kind of lonely.
I have a meeting out of the office today and leave early tomorrow-- I'm excited that shortens whats left of my work week!
Time since surgery: 9 months (BTW I've hit the "butt hurts when sitting for any amount of time" stage of weight loss...)
M1: 1/3c oatmeal, 3/4c fairlife milk, tbs strawberry preserves, 1 boiled egg, 1 boiled egg white. (The fairlife milk created this yucky skim like coating on the oatmeal in the microwave-- but tasted fine. I think I may stick to regular milk for microwaving)
M2 1 honesy grisp apple and 1oz colby jack cheese
m3: 3 TJ's turkey meatballs in sauce w/ ricotta & mozzarella
M4: ??

QOTD: We've had our king sized mattress for about 5 years. I think it's just a decent king mattress. We used to have a tempur-pedic and loved it once we got used to it. But alas, when we upgraded to a king, didn't want to pay for one of those again. My kids all need new mattresses...a couple of them have those crappy Bunkie mattresses, I guess I will have to start investing in those!

Good morning! Sorry about your back AV. I hate waking up in pain. I am the queen of hurting myself in my sleep. The other night I think I slept with the heel of my right foot digging into the ankle of my left. Now I have a bruise the same size as my heel and it hurts to bend. Who does that? I'm now sleeping with a pillow between my legs so it doesn't happen again. KQOTD - I have a Sealy pillow top. I also have a wrought Iron bed. Because the bed is high and the mattress is high, I have to use a step stool to get into my own bed! My brother has a tempurpedic and LOVES it! That will be my next bed purchase for sure.
I made it through day one of the peanut butter and somersault elimination diet and was rewarded with a 1 lb loss. Hopefully that will make it easier for me to stick with it today. Here's the plan:
B: Ground turkey and cheddar cheese
L: roasted turkey breast and edamame (this may be too much turkey for me and for variety I may buy a chicken bowl with mixed veggies when I go to get the edamame, but I brought the turkey, so that's what I'm counting. If I switch, it won't change my numbers much)
D: New York Strip and Asian Slaw
S: Roast Beef (2 oz), provalone cheese (1 oz), Light and Fit, Skinny vanilla latte
E: either a 4-5 mile run or kick boxing, weather dependent
