Next time I'm hungry.

MMMMMMMMMMM TOOOOOOOOOOOOOAST! I too could probably eat a loaf, given a day or two and I'm with Grim, pass the butter and peanut butter. I did have a slice once.......it was soooooooooo good and I haven't had any since....it was too good.
I will eat half an apple with pb or celery for the taste and crunch. It's not the same, but it does the trick.
There is always something that is harder to avoid then other things, but there is always an alternative.
I used to make my own english muffins from scratch. Three times as big as store bought. Oh my god, were those good.

I still do.
And I imagine my husband and son chocking on them the whole time.

A good balance of protein and fat works well for me. I eat a lot of meat and some dairy. I really like the Tonno tuna. It is more expensive but tastes a hundred times better. I eat it plain.
I also eat cheese almost every day. I don't eat bread at all. I'm a breadaholic. I also don't eat pasta, rice, or potatoes. All that crap was a problem for me before surgery. I have to stay away from it.
I fight badgers with spoons.
