No full feeling
I am 2 months post RNY and still waiting for that stop sign everyone talks about... where oh my god I feel so full I couldnt take another bite. I have not experienced it - though I am only eating about 3 ounces of food - I do worry that perhaps something is wrong with my stoma. The only food that bothers me is chicken - nothing else sticks or causes me grief. I am only down 40 lbs in 2 months - is that normal?

Okay, here is what to do. Just follow your plan. NEVER try and determine the parameters of your stoma. I am 6 months out and 'felt' it for the first time a few nights ago. I had a 4 oz. HB patty for dinner. That is all. On the second to last bite it happened. My plan had been calling for a 3 oz. patty. I had 3.5.
It was uncomfortable for 20 minutes. The lesson learned. Be grateful for all of the other stuff.
GOOD FOR YOU.
You are ONLY down 40 pounds in 2 months. That's like 5 pounds a week. What were you expecting? Many people only lose 10-12 pounds a month. So, celebrate your weight loss.
Remember, most of your stomach nerves have been cut and the 'normal' stomach sensations are not making it from your stomach to your head, so you need to measure for while. They will regrow. Keep doing what you are doing, but enjoy your success, IMHO you are having normal or BETTER than normal results.

It took me 9 months to lose 100 pounds, but I know what you mean - a friend of mine lost 30 pounds in one month (on top of 80 pounds pre-op).
It's good to know that if you are compliant with your instructions, the rate at which you lose the weight has no impact on your long term results. If you are not compliant, you may never lose the weight.
Best wishes, you're off to a great start. There is a place on OH that predicts your weight for the months after surgery - I do not know know where. Someone may reply.

I think I may have found it:

I never really got that "couldn't eat another bite" feeling either. I started to wonder if I was eating enough??? That maybe I hadn't pushed myself to my limit yet. You will have to rely carefully on measuring out your portions like I do, and when its gone...you are done!
