I don't like winter as much as I used to. I do like to go quading. It is a lot of fun. I do like walking in the snow. I also like to drive in it. As soon as we get some I will be out. I know sounds crazy.

B: Hot cocoa then a coffee not really hungry this morning.

L:Lunch meat and cheese and sugar-free pickles

D:Some kind of chicken/ I am going to make beef stew also.

I hope you all have a great day.

I do like the snow but here where I live the only time we really get any its just a few inches, enough to make slush and ice and not so fun.  I use to take my kids up to the mountain to play in it when they were younger.  Now that I have arthritis it is not so fun to get wet and cold.  I would love to try snowshoeing someday.

My kids use to get so upset if somebody ate "the last" of something they liked it got to be so bad where finally they stopped eating "the last bit" and would leave just a little bit, not enough for a serving even.  A swallow of milk or juice, a cracker or 2, a few little pieces of cereal...  That would just bug the ##ll out of me.  I couldn't get them to fini**** for the life of me.  I told them when its gone leave the container on the counter or tell me so I know and can get more but nooooo.  Still to this day now a pet peeve of mine is to go get something and not have enough to make any difference.  Not so much food now but definitely the milk.

For today I will have

B- Coffee/premier protein shake

L-cottage cheese/Yoplait light yogurt mix-  Deli chicken slice

That is 282 calories.  I don't know how  many calories will be in dinner we are going to try to make a Mexican spaghetti recipe using the Black Bean Spaghetti we bought so will have to figure out the calories later when we make it.  ( Im super excited to try this!)

This is totally how my staff is. Someone will bring in a treat and everyone wants to be so girly and polite so they take half a cookie or something. But then it gets ridiculous when someone leaves like 1/8 of a donut or something!

I dont like the winter...but to be truthful, I think the outdoors was only made to walk from the house to the car...otherwise there is no point.

I have my gall bladder surgery scheduled for March 22. I seem to be having increasingly frequent symptoms and called today and tried to move it...they offered me April 7 :( I could go to a general surgeon and he could get me in within a week, but I just feel safer with my bariatric surgeon. I dont know, maybe I should get over it. I am becoming super foggy...yesterday I tried to get into the wrong car, 2xs. And it wasnt like walking up and realizing you were at the wrong car, I was full bore yanking on that handle wondering why there was a pillow in my car. The other time it wasnt even the right model! I will make it, just need to get my FMLA paperwork filled out so when there are days I cant make it in I am excused...generally I love government work but sometimes the red tape just gets OLD.

That being said, I am sticking to my stats as far as diet wise but it isnt where I would like them to be. Too shake/fake food heavy.

vanilla bean protein shake with coffee and sugar free pepperming

Protein pudding

fage 0% with half scoop of protein powder and a splenda

muscle milk 100 with coffee

cals 600 protein 104 carbs 26 fat 10

I did start today with egg beaters and a vegetarian spicy breakfast sausage....here's to a better day

Happy 19 month surgiversary, AV  and good morning everyone from "not as sunny" So. Cal.  Our temp has dropped 18 degrees and we're in the low 70's and there is a chance of rain tonight.  Good news for us.  Hmmm, winter activities.  I do (or at least I used to).  From where I live, we are about 70 minutes from the local ski resorts.  I used to ski and my brother has tried to teach me to snow board.  I actually haven't gone since surgery though.  The snow in the local resorts the last few years has been bad to non-existent so even though I'm probably better able to handle the physical activity, I haven't tried.  The snow is better this year, but so far, no plans.  I also ice skate.  There are two outdoor rinks that get set up close to where I live.  They're open from about thanksgiving to mid february.  I like skating outside.  The WLS didn't make the actual skating much easier, but getting up when you fall is a breeze.  A victory for me . . . rather than burn the outfit I was wearing when the sales jerk commented on my apparent need for a gym membership, I decided to own it.  I'm wearing the same outfit today.  Taking it back from you, jerk!!!  Here's my plan:

B: ground turkey (3.2oz and shredded cheddar 1oz)

L:  hamburger patty, slice of cheese

D: Roasted turkey and asian slaw

S: thin sliced roast beef (2 oz), provalone cheese (1 oz), skinny vanilla latte (I had a free drink at Starbucks that was going to expire today); light and fit (I decided that the Peanut butter was becoming a problem for me so I decided to go cold turkey.  I will use it on days where I'm planning a long run, but my everyday consumption has got to stop and stop now.)

Totals: Cal: 1,022 Protein: 127g; Fat: 38g; Carbs: 35g

Have a great day!

This was told me to me once... Never let someone "rent" space in your head/heart that they don't deserve.  Meaning the A-hole from the gym is and always will be an A-hole. You are a very successful lawyer, friend, daughter (wife/mother, sorry not sure if you are married or have kids) and OH friend!!  Things that jerk off will never know and never need to know.  Don't waste one more second on him, he is a waste of skin and you (and us on OH) know how hard you workout so think about bigger and better things, like purse shopping???

I hope I didn't offend you with what I am saying... I seriously used to have an anger/can't let things go problem and I spent a lot of my younger years being angry at the world, and at relatives etc for stupid things and I was just miserable.  I can't and won't let people like that gym rat get me down, I have too much awesome people & things in my life to better focus my time and energy on!

Cheers to you for wearing the outfit, I bet you look awesome!

Hugs,

Daze

Thank you for that!  I'll be honest.  I let him live in my head for a few days, and spent my time at the gym last night staring in the mirror and pulling at my pants/shirt because they felt too tight.  It was when I was done with my workout and looked at my calorie burn (which was low) and realized I gave him the power to take away something I loved, that I said "enough."  The jerk has no idea what I've accomplished or what I can do.  I've worked really hard through this surgery to take back my power and my life and it was STUPID to give that up.  I'm much better today.

I am so grateful for this site, this thread in particular and you all, that it's hard to express.  You all GET IT and are instrumental in talking me down from the ledge!  a big THANK YOU!!!!
