Morning!  So I need to take back my review on using PB2 as peanut butter. I made a small amount (about 1/2 cup's worth) and stuck it in the cabinet to use as a desired. Well apparently it molds, pretty quickly...YUCK. Its more of  hassle to have to "make" peanut butter when I want some-- I'd rather just use Skippy. I guess I could refrigerate the PB2- but I envision PB tearing a piece of bread apart trying to spread it... 1st world problems LOL.

Winter activities-- nope. I don't think human were meant to propel themselves on ice and snow. Just because it can be done-- doesn't make it a good idea.

Time since surgery: 9 months

M1: 2 fried eggs and 1 oz ham. (Fried egg are still don;t sit well- I think its cause I fry them in butter, which is high in fat and my tummy doesn't like fats. I just don't get how one "fries" an egg in cooking spray though...)

M2: Protein shake, honey crisp apple

M3: TJ's Salmon burger w/ ****tail & tarter sauce

M4: Baked Chicken Parmesan (no noodles for me)

I've never tried mixing the PB2 into regular peanut butter to spread.  The only thing I use it for it to mix into protein shakes or mix into yogurt.  Since I'm going cold turkey on the regular peanut butter, I can't decide if I want to substitute with the PB2 or completely eliminate my every day use of peanut butter.  It is a weakness of mine and a definite trigger food, but I have absolutely no desire to mix PB2 with water and eat it by the spoonful, so it may be ok.

How'd the 85/15 ground beef go?  I pulled my 80/20 out tonight and went to log it for dinner and then got depressed because it was so high in calories, so I changed my mind and decided on the frozen tilapia that I have in the freezer instead.  I'll use the ground beef for a slow cooker chili tomorrow.

Not well, I felt like it went down ok....then 15 minutes later I got the dreaded "slime" production that made me sick for a few hours until everything came up!!

Hmmm. Have you talked to your doc about this?  Maybe you have a small stricture and your protein is getting stuck? I don't know how this works.

Yes I have, the NP at my surgeon's office didn't seemed bothered by it.  Just shrugged it off.  I will bring it up AGAIN in April when I go for my 1 year follow up.  Even though I have brought it up at the last few appointments.

I have tried steak of all kinds, same thing happens.  Same with pork, chicken breast...pretty much any dense protein.  Really bums me out.  Its gotten so just thinking about meat makes me sick.  WHO AM I??
