That stinks. She needs to get her priorities straight.

Maybe when you get your surgery.

It's about 32 and gloomy here in Illinois but I think Lily and I will head to the park in a bit since the snow is gone for now. I don't know how far well go as her leg is still bothering her a bit but I will do 4 miles total somewhere or other. Also will do 30 minutes on the bike at some point. My weight is up today but I think it is because I am having issues with my RA and my joints are swollen because my clothes don't fit any differently. I recently changed my insurance and they do not want to authorize my injectable for my RA that I have been on for 5 years. It is the only option because I can't take any NSAIDS now but I have been a month and a half with no meds at all while my doctor and the insurance figure it out. I am going to have to call today and get something for pain because I am miserable! I don't know why people who don't know your medical past think they can do things like this!  Oh,and when I appeal in writing they will let me know in 60 days. And the last thing the robot all said was to have a nice day! Enough ranting here's my eats   1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili D 31/2 oz ribeye and 1/2 c Brussels sprouts S hard boiled egg. Have a good day everyone and make smart choices.

Have you formally appealed the insurance decision?  Ask for a copy of their approval criteria and craft your appeal specifically around how you meet the criteria. Don't depend on your doctor to do it. My experience (and I chaired an appeal committee for 8 years) is that physician offices are pretty terrible about filing appeals.

The other option is for your physician to have a physician to physician conversation with the insurance company's medical director. A verbal, as opposed to written, conversation can do wonders, but it must be with the medical director. Good luck and don't give up!

I am fortunate that he will fight the company for me. We did it once before when I had the same carrier before. I have had RA for 30 plus years and nothing but the biologicS will work for me. I have a call in now to get something called to the local pharmacy for pain and inflammation because all my joints, even my wrists are swollen and sore.

Insurance companies make it so difficult.   Sorry you are having to deal with this.

I am going through the same insurance hassle right now.  I developed severe GERD after my surgery (I'm the sleeve interloper) and am on PPI 2x a day.  First, they will only approve 1x a day, which would be fine if a generic did anything for me (it doesn't).  My doctor switched me to another med and the insurance co. graciously approved 1 month but has advised they won't approve any further refills.  Luckily my surgeon LOVES to fight insurance companies and has already set up a peer to peer review.  He also was able to use his connections with other doctors at the hospital and got me a 40 day supply that hopefully will carry me through until the appeal is resolved.  Good luck with your issue, Karen.

Hello everyone!  I'm finally home and feel pretty good.  Still a bit sore and sicky but otherwise good.  I'm ready to get back in the swing of things but I'm not exercise or lifting for 2 weeks boohoo.  We have no food in the house so I guess it's good I'm not that interested.

B tea with milk carbmaster yogurt

S fit frappe chai

L tuna packet

S cheese

D atkins dinner kids are ordering pizza

I haven't added it up yet so I may need to play with things and truthfully I may not be able to eat all of that but I'll try
