What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
I'm sad that I missed that, and you didn't. I like the way you think.

Meat good. Fat good. And more important, good for me.
This is one of the reasons I haven't posted food regularly. No one is going to mimic my diet. No one. And as for ideas, I eat very few things. After almost 1400 days of logging, my MFP food list is still only 4 pages long, and 2 pages of that are things I ate right after surgery, but not since.
Holidays have become pretty much meat free. I celebrate by pigging out on mashed potatoes and corn. Mmmm.

My local store had Porterhouse on sale. I bought. I ate.... over the last 2 days. Not every meal... but did think of you. Grim would be proud...LOL. I should actually eat steak more often, from the beginning it is probably what has agreed with my pouch the most in the solid protein camp...

Steak has always been easier for me, too. Much more than chicken, pork, or ground meats. Of course, the high fat content probably helps it go down easier. There's as much fat in a ribeye as protein, and the fat is basically a liquid. But it's also why I think I haven't been constipated. The fat really helps with that. And keeps my coat shiny.

Shiny coats are the best! When I read your list, it is not the mostly-meat thing that seems crazy to me, but the quantities of it. That is amazing, to fit in so much!
Grim, with all that meat and fat, you might really like reading the work of Peter Attia. He has a blog called The Eating Academy. He says he likes salads not so much for the lettuce, but because they are a good vehicle for eating fats. I haven't read him much lately, but I like his stuff because he has a lot of science behind what he says--not just "eating as religion" like so many blogs get lately.
He also has a really great TED talk about obesity and diabetes. Really worth listening to.

I knew a couple of postops whe couldn't tolerate red meat after surgery. It was actually my biggest fear.
