Thanks Julie.
If Bill were REALLY smart...he'd be wearing a coat, right?? Seems like Bill's kinda stupid to be naked in the snow. Bill will freeze to death. I'm glad I'm NOT like Bill!!

You have lost a lot, and that is a success. I commend you. It's hard to lose and maintain. It takes work and commitment.
Why are your cheeks puffed out in one of your after pictures? It appears you are fat shaming. Is that what you meant? I think one of the key factors in maintenance is never forgetting our starting point; otherwise it is easy to think we aren't obese people anymore.
I am an obese person. My obesity is in remission. I work to keep it that way, but I don't think being half my former size confers a magical grace on me. Obese people are my tribe, and I don't forget that.

It's important that we are sure we don't lose from the size of our heart when we lose from our waist.

You might want to put a little more thought into posting pictures like this for a couple of reasons:
1) mocking people is rude - regardless of their size. At a size 8 guess what? Some folks here think YOU are still big. Would you like to see the size zeros on the board mocking those bigger than they are?
2) there are many POST-ops here who would love to be able to get into a size 24
3) karma. most of us can lose during our first year with little (or no) effort. There is no great talent in it - you had your body surgically altered in a way that almost guarantees major weight loss.
**** gets real around the two to three year mark when your malabsorption wears off and you gain weight without increasing your input or decreasing your physical activity. Bodies adapt and start utilizing every single calorie once more. It's not unusual to see folks who were big successes at a year or two out who come back posting with 30, 40, 50 pound regains. Some even regain all that they had lost. Some may even end up in a size 24. And no one, NO ONE goes into this expecting to deal with that kind of gain after WLS. But it happens.
I don't think you were purposely hurtful. But people did get hurt, and an obesity website should be one of the few safe places members can go online where they don't need to worry about being mocked for their size.
